Lore suggestion for Rad/SS?

She's a Rad/SS that takes Rage and is heavily AoE focused. The only thing she really needs from her pets would probably be increased DPS because I never feel like I'm lacking anything. I don't have very much experience with pets across the board, but I do know that hate big pets that clutter the screen.

 

Right now I'm thinking Cims for single-target dps or Polar Lights for complimentary AoE. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Knives of Vengeance Core are my go-to for DPS Lore Pets that aren't huge. You get two Winged (sadly non-flying) ladies, one with Swords and one with Pistols.

How do you feel their performance is? I have them on my Scrapper and I never seem to really notice their effect... when I notice them at all, it's because they look like they're just standing around - but as I said, I don't have a lot of experience with pets, Lore or otherwise.

I like them a lot!

Make sure you have the "Pets" window open.

One you have it open, summon a pet. Then set the controls to "Advanced Mode"

When you have your Lore Pets out, make sure you set them to "Aggressive". That will minimize them standing around.

keep an eye on their health bars. As a Tanker, you can click on them and Taunt through them to take aggro off them.

Support Pets are generally where it's at as the others die too quickly to remain useful.

+ Carnies grant Forge (Permanent +15% Damage; +20% ToHit)
+ Seers grant Fortitude (Permanent +15% Damage, 5% Defense)
+ Banished Pantheon deal substantial AoE damage (as an unkillable support pet, no less) and buff your Recharge time and Recovery rate (about 50% uptime on that buff).
+ Clockwork grants you and up to two other pets a permanent +5% - 7.5% Defense buff.
Most of the time BP wins out performancewise; but take your pick.

The rest tend to either have buffs with poor uptime; only have heals; or are better at buffing large numbers of allies/pets rather than a single target.

That's my go-to for a damage tank.  I've also had good luck with Rikti (for Accelerate Metabolism).  Both have heals, albeit not really needed, but can aid teammates.

 

One of the debuffers (usually Longbow) for AV fights.
