Hi all,

 

I've been messing about with my Grav/Kin and whilst it is fun to play, it's a bit, "meh" so I've put this together in Mids.

 

Problem is, I'm not really sure what the build focus should be, they don't tend to get stuck in to mobs so melee defence isn't that important IMO, damage stats aren't amazing so slotting for +Dam seems to be a waste, it all seems a bit general.

 

What do you think of this build? What would you change? Or not change? I appreciate your time looking at this.

  • Transfusion needs accuracy. I don't see the point in your slotting. Instead of %heal procs, just enhance the power for healing - it's one of the strongest heals in the game. Slotting it for end mod is a waste. Also, the Panacea proc should be in an active power like Health, otherwise it's only going off when you use Transfusion. You'll get much better results if you just slot 6x Touch of the Nictus.
  • Devoting 6 slots to Weaken Resolve seems like a waste. It's a pretty weak debuff. This is a good place to slot an Achilles' Heel -res proc. Also, you've got the Analyze Weakness %tohit proc in Weaken Resolve toggled on, which is inflating your tohit stats by 11%. 
  • In Maneuvers, replace the Kismet end/rech with Kismet or LOTG def/end.
  • Siphon Speed needs more accuracy and should be slotted for recharge. 1 acc IO and 1-2 recharge IOs is what you want.
  • Replace the Aegis psi resist in Increase Density with the Gladiator's Armor +def unique.
  • Speed Boost should be slotted with 1 end mod IO. The Celerity +stealth should be slotted in Sprint. (Does it do anything in Speed Boost?)
  • Gravity Distortion should have 6 slots. I would replace Lockdown with Will of the Controller. This power should be taken much sooner than lvl 26 if you ever intend to exemp.
  • Gravity Distortion Field should have 6 slots and needs more accuracy (the power has a 20% acc penalty). 
  • In Singularity, replace acc/rech with acc/dmg.

     I'd have to check but I'd guess the Celerity +stealth casts when SB is used provided it hadn't been used in the previous 10 sec in which case it extends another 10 sec the duration.  It's a proc 120 and will last 120 sec after cast i believe.

FS will damage cap you and others. There's not much reason for Assault. Kin needs to hit. You'll get far more mileage out of Tactics.

a few months ago the game also changed the level at which you can access your powers. e.g you can pick singularity at lvl 26 and fulfcrum shift at lvl 30, rather than 32/38

 

unless you play solely end game content i would consider picking these powers earlier. you’ll be able to use FS on things like yin TFs

All very interesting points, I have taken your advice on the /kin parts and done that on my Plant/Kin (which I am enjoying FAR more), I have to confess, I didn't fully understand the use of procs until very recently so I've only slotted health and stamina with a couple of procs and I've taken Def buff powers like CJ and Hover and Stealth to get 5 x LoTG +rech IOs.
