twozerofoxtrot Posted October 5 Posted October 5 You might as well just ignore that patch note and look at it with fresh eyes from scratch. Throw out everything you thought you knew about Stone Armor. You're not forced to be slow. You're not forced to be on the ground. Maybe the power info hasn't been updated in game. You can take Teleport but you absolutely don't need to for mobility any. Granite is not only totally optional, it's an easy skip. Basically take powers 1-8. You're going to have a big, layered mix of things going on. In some cases resists will be capped, in others it will be defense. It all balances out, you really won't have any gaps. Earth's Embrace is Dull Pain. Use it to cap HP and buff Toxic resists proactively. Mud Pots is your handy-dandy damage aura. It'll immob some minions but noone cares about that on a Tanker. It's a good place to slot Might of the Tanker proc; you'll always have a stack up in combat amd usually two. Crystal Armor gives End Recovery and really should slot, at a minimum Perf Shifter proc. Stone Armor is still very End hungry so anything to balance that helps. I would go Perf Shifter Proc + End mod, then some Defense buffs. Minerals I would slot with just an LotG proc and maybe Def/End from the set. It's a lot of Psi Def which is nice but it's a place you can economize on slots. It also provides passive 15% global recharge. Brimstone likewise has limited resistance applications (fire, cold, tox) but a powerful secondary effect that procs fire damage on your attacks. Can economize with a mule, an End Redux IO, or if you have the slots to spare go for some bonuses. I think this is where I usually stick Steadfast Protection proc. 2 1
Sovera Posted October 6 Posted October 6 You just need to be on the ground to activate Rooted but afterwards you can fly with impunity. Twozerofoxtrot has already given the rundown but in the (near) immortal thread in my signature despite recommending Fire Melee I have different combos of which one is Dark Melee. Perhaps you can lift some slotting ideas from it. 1 - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds.
