Let's give a little love to COH content creators

Hi folks,

 

Just starting a thread to recognize some recent COH content creators (there's a mere handful it seems). They serve to popularize this game and attract players new and old. I am not affiliated with any of these creators other than being a subscriber.

 

Wednesdaywoe plays - her videos show off her characters with an introspective, narrative perspective. She'll offer up the disclaimer that "this is not financial advice" as she is not an expert. Still, her videos are interesting as she talks about how she conceives of her characters and her love of +4 Council.

 

Nintova @ Play - has some really good starter guide videos. Nintova has started uploading COH content fairly recently, but I've enjoyed their dedication to completeness.

 

Dark Current - is a prolific and dedicated COH creator. His videos focus on how-to, strategy and build advice. His video run the gamut from soloing content to running with teams.

 

There are others, but I wanted to highlight a few and invite you all to post the ones you follow. I know there are a few forum members who also post content on Youtube or stream on Twitch.

I confess, I am one of the 37 subscribers to @Projector's channel ProjectorCoH on YouTube. 

This player, whom I barely know, has often bent over backwards (figuratively) to share with me certain insights about the Hard Mode content. He doesn't know it yet, but eventually I'm gonna have him carry my slightly better than mediocre Fire blaster, water/sonic corruptor, Fire/rad corruptor and maybe even my shield/mace tank, and my mace/invuln brute. Oh, and my Grav/Earth Dom, my fire/ice tank, and maybe even a couple more characters, if I ever get them to the 1620 or so badges, where that's all I need are the last two from advanced lady gray. 

Now, hopefully, 700k of you will find his channel, click on it - let the video play to the end, subscribe, make a comment and give a thumbs up - make him rich, and I'll tell him he owes me for all the love.

In all seriousness, if you want a primer on hard mode stuff, the dude has some compelling content.

Hey I'm subscribed to @Projector YouTube channel as well. The channel had a video on the LGTF advanced difficulty mode and I used it to be a better team leader because I wanted everyone to get the new badges at the time. I also ran it on beta just to get a good feel too. Anyways, good shout out! 

 

I think I am also subscribed to @M3z YouTube channel as well, but I haven't seen any new videos lately. Great channel for PvP content.

 

Oh and @Living Brain 3000 has a great channel as well. Mostly breaking down how to run content across the game.

I've always enjoyed LB3K's trials. He has a way of talking about the Avatar of Hamidon that's pretty strange. It always cracks me up. That and the "Go make a sandwich" if you don't have a snipe. Sadly, he doesn't play much anymore. Or if he does, it's fairly late at night after I've logged.

Dang, you and @Glacier Peak gonna make me cry. Thank you for the kind words, that actually means a lot. 

I've spent a lot of time learning as much as I could and have tried to share some of that information whenever possible. It's hard to find time to edit and post new videos, but I do  have a couple of ideas kicking around, and once I have some extra time and energy, I will put them together. Most are walkthroughs/narrations of the content itself, and one is an updated "how to tank Omega Kong" that has a LOT of information that I either didn't know for the first one or that I just forgot to include.

Regarding your toons, just say when. We can easily get you the 'bonk and badges for them!

Also, I can unfortunately confirm that LB3K has quit homecoming. He had I know this because he gave me all of his main's enhancements before he uninstalled.

Told him it was pointless to give me all of his stuff as I was just going to hang onto it just in case he decides to come back. So, all of it is sitting in my AH storage lol.

The short version is he wasn't happy playing the game anymore. I don't want to really give specifics on the public forum because that wouldn't really be in the spirit of this post and would detract from it.

Honestly, I don't know of many people doing it with any regularity, though I wouldn't classify myself as regular, either. lol

Stendhal is the first one that comes to mind! He is a lot of fun to play with, very skilled at the game, and if you haven't seen entertainment until you've seen him farm on his water blaster 😄 Channel Link.

I don't know if people realize that @Laucianna makes videos, but here is her channel. Lot of cool perspectives from the biggest Kheldian advocate PLUS one of the best leaders in the game, hands down.

My videos are no where near on par with most creators, atm I am just posting them as visual reference until I feel confident enough to start speaking through them (Social anxiety ftw)

I've watched a lot of Stendhals videos too! I also watch people like @Oklahoman @Tax E and Rose Whites streams on Twitch when I can 💛

It really is too bad the Dev team has refused to allow players to make content for the game via my AE 2.0 idea. Le sigh...

I follow Wednesdaywoe and Dark Current. Wednesdaywoe videos are great. You never know what she'll say. Dark Current makes you think about builds in a different way.
