DocRadio Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Anyone use this sorcery pool power? Is it worth getting if you're a squish type without access to status protection?
Bopper Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 It's definitely a great power for status protection and resistance. You can't make it perma, but you easily can make it have 50% up time. Basically it's a 90 second oh crap button without a crash. Keep it in you back pocket as a just in case situation. Only downside is being forced to take 2 other sorcery powers PPM Information Guide Survivability Tool Interface DoT Procs Guide Time Manipulation Guide Bopper Builds +HP/+Regen Proc Cheat Sheet Super Pack Drop Percentages Recharge Guide Base Empowerment: Temp Powers Bopper's Tools & Formulas Mids' Reborn
DocRadio Posted June 29, 2019 Author Posted June 29, 2019 Well Mystic flight isn't too shabby. Flight with a built in teleport. And Arcane bolt is a nice filler attack for the early game, so I won't feel too bad about taking it. And a 90 second status shield sounds good. I had no Idea that it lasted that long.
Bopper Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 The 90 second status effect shield is great, but let's not forget the resistance is badass. 25% (pre-enhancements) for all resistance types, yes please. Xaeon Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 The Ward is also pretty nice; a quick easy means of putting some extra survivability on a team mate. Enflame is really weird and there's still some debate as to what it's actually supposed to do and whether it's working as intended. "Titan/Bio scrappers are the stealthiest toons in the game." "How's that possible? They don't have any inherent stealth and you'd never take concealment pool powers on them!" "You see; they're perfect at stealth because nobody will notice if there's nobody to notice."
Redlynne Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Enflame is really weird and there's still some debate as to what it's actually supposed to do and whether it's working as intended. My guess is that Enflame is the damaging counterpart to the reworked Stimulant Injection from the Medicine pool ... with the idea being one of aiding allies and harming foes (slightly). As for the "working as intended" part, there's really *two* questions buried in that. Is it WORKING as intended? Is it working as INTENDED? All too often, Developers vapor lock on the former while ignoring the latter. Yeah, the scripting may run just fine and the game doesn't crash to desktop ... so it's "working" ... but you've completely lost sight of what the "intent" was behind what you were trying to accomplish (and whether or not that "intent" was a worthwhile thing to pursue in the fashion you've achieved). So yeah, you can make it "work" ... but if the "intent" behind it is all fouled up it doesn't matter if it works or not, because the INTENT behind it is broken. Verbogeny is one of many pleasurettes afforded a creatific thinkerizer.
