I see there's this power called [Melt Armor] and I guess there's a debuff on the thing. Sounds like maybe damage dealers would like to be able to do that. Got any experience with this thing? I'm curious, does the debuff feel good? Is there enough of a result?

Can I ask what makes it a waste for Scrappers? I took it on my Elec/SD, though that's primarily because I wanted Fireball and had room for a power. I never use it for normal mobs since they die so fast, but I throw it on AVs or occasionally a stubborn EB. If it's effectiveness is so slow that it's just a DPD killer, so be it. I'm just curious.

I have so much recharge on my scrapper it's up often

It's an AoE so it debuffs more than one thing

I do see a difference in how things die so it's not useless

I wanted fireball and wasn't excited by the rest

 

So overall satisfied with the choice.

With the way procs work now, you can make the epic version of Melt Armor's long recharge work for you: an Achilles Heel proc in there is nigh guaranteed to proc, and turns a -10% res power into a -30% res power for a few seconds.

 

Like Papaschtroumpf says, if you want Fireball regardless, you might as well get Melt Armor.

I've been on the fence about taking it for my Pistols/Dark Blaster.  So far I have Bonfire, I intend to get Fire Shield and Rise of the Phoenix, so I don't NEED to take Melt Armor.  Groups already get insta-killed so I don't care about the AoE, it would be more for bigger targets but I don't think it will make enough of a difference.

 

I dunno.  I was going to respec out Death Shroud for it.  Maybe I'll just keep Shroud or grab Char.  Two holds and a fear wouldn't be the worst thing.
