And if you haven't, why not?

I think a better question is "why would someone bother to do that?", but I guess someone did try to make a card game out of CoH.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

My reason why not: I have no idea what a Marvel 616 system is. I have honestly never heard the term before. Marvel - the comics - those I'm familiar with. The word marvel is also familiar. But Marvel 616...not a clue.

Not 616 but I have in FASERIP and M&M and Palladiums Heroes Unlimited

So you mean you'll put down your rock, and I'll put down my sword; and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?

Why would they?

I mean, apart from obvious TOS issues, which can get you seriously disciplined (or worse) this is is own, rich universe with plenty of content and some very exciting and interesting tales

there are plenty of Marvel games to play... I genuinely don't see the point of making this part of the MCU

Well, in answer to the questions, I'm planning to run a short campaign using the Marvel 616 TTRPG system and was hoping/wondering if any of my CoH friends and fellow players had done so in the past and if they knew of anyone who had statted out villain groups.

I’ve set some supers adventures in The CoX universe for a pair of short-term supers runs, using Sentinels Comics RPG and Triumphant, namely because minions are easy to create on the fly.

well like i said not in 616

marvels FASERIP is closer to what i view as COXs level of power with Statesman topping out in the unearthly range for str and end and posi maybe hitting Inc or amazing for reason

so yeah its doable in any system you just need to establish your baselines as to who sits on what tier and how the pcs can get to those tiers

I think they meant in private, home games, Scarlet.  Not as a product to distribute.

I agree.  The power level of the old MSH game more closely emulates (IMO) the way characters seem to perform in CoH/CoV.

That was not explicit in their post. I actually figured they were going for something to break ToS in this game.

If that's what they did mean it concerns me even more. I genuinely think that somebody who did that would put our entire project at risk. That is unacceptable to me

Yeah, I don't think they were headed that direction, but I suppose the OP can speak for themselves on that point.  Based on the two posts, it felt like they just wanted to save time on making up all the stats for their home game, under the possibility of someone on the forums having already finished most of the leg-work (and being willing to share their home-brew conversions, etc.).

I serioulsy doubt someone writing up whatever groups for their tabletop game could cause any sort of issue.

The number of conversions one sees on the net for ANYTHING to any sort of system has been a steady stream since the 80s.
