Mind Control - A Pet

I know this topic has been brought up a lot but I am doing to die on this hill even if it means I am alone haha...

Mind Control 100% should get a pet. I don't know the solution on how to work it in, but its so lonely without one as controller.

 

I know people will say its because you can make enemies your pets, yeah true! However, you can do that with half the powersets on controllers/dominators.

 

I want to be able to summon a psychic entity that floats around at my side or something anything please! ❤️

For Controllers, Mind/ is intentionally without pets... you can of course have a summonable creature from the Patron pools. or summons from the START vendor.

 

If you simply want something floating beside you, the toggle Wisp pets exist.

OK so I'm not defending the idea, but couldn't you just have a mutually exclusive power like they have done for multiple other sets?  So like at T9 it would be Mass Confusion and Psionic Nexus (from the Scrapper/Stalker ancillary pool but permanent).

I would rather see a new Psychic/ Psionic themed control set that specifically has a pet and is balanced around that. I would say that the set wouldn't have any form of the Telekinesis power, and could perhaps borrow ideas/powers/ animations from the Awakened.

Or you could slot the Overpowering Presence: Chance for Energy Font or Dominating Grasp: Chance for Fiery Orb ATO into Mass Confusion, Mass Hypnosis or Total Domination.

I mean I personally asked for them to add Psionic Nexus in the Ancillary Pools for Controller/Dominator. I think if you want to do this you can basically just pick Symphony Control and you would get the exact same thing but much better since it copies all of your control powers... though that also makes me wonder why they don't just roll Symphony Control and Mind Control into the same set since I think a lot of people just pick Symphony Control because it's basically Mind Control with a pet anyway, and don't want the music theme, from all the characters I've seen with names like Psiren.

Minus the Awakened part that's basically Symphony Control. So maybe they can just drop the music theme on Symphony Control, change the name, and make alternate non-music animations copied from the Awakened, while keeping the music animations for people who built around them.
