Random pet recipe option removed

I'm passing along feedback from another player, who does not support the removal of using Unstable Aethers to roll random chance mini pet recipes from the Benevolabs vendor. They are concerned it will drive up the market for these recipes to the point they aren't accessible to the average player. For example, Sally recipes are pretty low on the Auction House.

I missed that on the patch notes.   Seems like they're fairly useless now and instead of 2 unstable, they may as well just award a Prismatic.

 

Their only use now is a 3-1 conversion to Prismatic.  Being account bound, you can mail them to yourself and that's it.

 

So yea, random, or why bother having them.

Yeah, Not sure on most of the others, which are probably fine. But my concern is it makes Sally and a couple rarely hit Giant Monsters may become exceedingly rare on how frequently they are hunted and available. Making it rather unfortunate for some that just don't have the time to dedicate to farming them to obtain the lower chance pet recipe drops.

The Conversation of Monster/Unstable Aether into Random Pet Recipe drops is a good alternative and makes more sense than having it just as a dump pile for time sink conversion into Prismatics only.

I'm unconvinced that the Sally recipe ever drops. I did a LOT of testing upon release, and I never got it to drop... and I got all the other zone monsters to drop recipes (although never tried the Rikti Dropship solo). I think it is because Sally doesn't give rewards. I 'defeated' Sally easily 100+ times with no recipe drop.
