ninja surprise Posted Thursday at 06:54 PM Posted Thursday at 06:54 PM I love the revamp of KW! How about one more civil improvement: A tram down in Adamstown or Old Slough? That'd be super sweet, especially for Market Crashes for villains.

Probably not a good lore request since it's more a red side, but there was an ask for a ferry as well. I'd be happy with an Ouro portal exit that dropped you on the current train station.

I'd expect it, were it to be implemented, to drop you into Statesman Plaza in front of his statue. Equally inconvenient for both blue- and red-side travel. 1 1

It would be nice for Market Crash since Ouro doesn't work for it, but one always takes it to Talos (typically, FF & IP are close, and I think Cap & GV for ferry) Dangit, ferries don't work. arcane Posted Thursday at 09:59 PM Posted Thursday at 09:59 PM You can take cool things called travel powers at level 4 and get there in a few seconds from the other train tho! 1

Last time I did a MC as a villain and on a MC today with a villain we had to go back to KW and take the ol' Chevrolegs to the tram. Edited 11 hours ago by ninja surprise

Only the Smuggler's Submarine does. (Edit: The ferries only service the Isles. I doubt they have the range or sea worthiness to get as far as Paragon City. And I doubt Paragon City would tolerate transports from the Isles since it would make it even easier for Arachnos operatives to infiltrate the city.) Edited yesterday at 02:29 AM by Rudra

Yes, but his question was if the Market Crash mission worked with Ferries for the last mission. And apparently they do not (fixed my post above after testing) Not sure if ferries were specifically excluded, or more likely only Trains would work to go to a Wentworth's location. So Villains need to go to the KW train.

It has been an extremely long time since I was on a Market Crash run, but isn't that all done in KW? And since there are no ferries at KW, wouldn't that have been its own answer?

Market Crash has two missions in the East side of the map to start. Last one is a Transport mission. Hardly anyone ever goes to the KW station. Team Transport works if everyone is the same alignment (I think that's the key), but most people do Ouro and go to Talos. Just shows how rare pure villains are. It's one of the few transport missions that doesn't work with Ouro (and ferries) 1

Yep the whole TF is in the bottom-right corner and the only train station is in the upper-left side of the map. So heroes can take Ouro to Talos for the quickest route to a train, while villains have to hot foot it all the way across the zone to the Kallisti train station. Hence the ask for adding another station in the SE side the zone, similar to how Steel Canyon, Skyway, Independe Port, etc have multiple stations. Even a bunch of redside zones have multiple ferry stations. I don't know if there's any sort of "minimum zone size" guideline for whether a zone deserves multiple stops.

While it does not hold true for the ferries, the reason why some blue side zones have multiple tram stations is because they used to be separate, unlinked lines (the yellow and green lines). One set of tram stations connected the lower level zones while another connected the higher level zones, and the zones with two tram stations were the only way to get from one to the other without running through every zone using the gates, and then only by traversing the zone in question to the other tram line. Again, this does not hold true for the ferries, and the ferries may be justification for adding a second tram line for some reason, but running off the logic for the existing tram stations and why they exist, I doubt it. Edit: This is a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Has anyone even checked the smuggler's submarine that is down there in the SE area of Kallisti Wharf to see if it sends you into the instance? It does the same thing as the tram, just to different zones. (Or is it in the SW and I'm getting my sides mixed?) Edited 10 hours ago by Rudra

It makes sense, since we are taking the train to Talos. (Of course, a villain wouldn't be able to get their fare approved, but I guess they jump the turnstile and the PPD look the other way today) 1

Just sayin.... 8 minutes ago, lemming said: Try far NE, so a long distance anyway. So yeah, I had my sides mixed, just flipped rather than mirrored. 8 minutes ago, lemming said: And doesn't work either. Thanks. Like I said, a dumb question, but knowing the answer is nice. Edit: Maybe the missions can be moved to the NE and the submarine made valid as a board transit option? Would be less problematic I think than changing the zone to add a new structure. DrRocket Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I am always for more different in map transportation hubs, to reduce boring travel, for example take Independence Port, they had a north and south train station, same story with Skyway. So why not have a train station north-east and south-west, with the SG portal in the middle? But this would be a QoL obviously and should be a low priority
