Devices questions

Hey all, playing around with /devices builds and would rather not waste respecs on guesses.  If anyone who has actually tested this and definitively knows the answer could answer some questions, I'd very much appreciate it!

 

For the Status Protection Archetype enhancement for Superior Defiant Barrage, if I slot it in Gun Drone will every shot from the Drone have a chance to trigger it, and will the effect trigger on ME or on the Drone pet?  Same question for Caltrops I guess, will everyone in the patch have a chance to proc it?  The goal is getting and keeping 3 stacked defiance up as quick as possible, if a pet or pseudopet can do it that's great.

 

Damage procs in general in Gun Drone - do they work?  Like if I 5 slotted Apocalypse with the proc and threw the Taunt Psi damage proc, would every shot have a chance to proc each?

 

Secondly, does setting up Remote Bomb (particularly on an enemy) break 100% stealth?  Would be hilarious to run in, stick a bomb on someone, leave the middle of them, and then detonate the bomb.  Haven't played my devices toon since I think back when it was "Time Bomb" which stunk.

Hi.  No, not every shot of gun drone would have a chance to proc, and not every tic of caltrops would have a chance to proc either.  Gun drone has a "burst" power that does multiple shots per activation, so the chance to proc would be on the initial activation of that burst - not on each bullet fired.  A damage proc in Gun drone, it's clear the damage goes to the enemy, but again, only a chance of it when it activates the burst.  As for the Defiant Barrage status protection proc in the drone, I do not know if the protection goes to you or the drone.  

 

Caltrops is a different beast.  A proc in it has a chance of proc'ing upon initial casting, and then a chance every 10 secs until the power goes away - like all the Rain powers (Fire Rain, Ice Storm, Freezing Rain).  I have the Ragnarok chance for KD in my Caltrops and love it.  It cracks me up to see foes fall down in my "Caltrops of Tripping!"  😄  But to be clear, they do not constantly fall down as if they were on an ice slick.  It's once down and then they're up trying to run out of the trops (and it doesn't proc on all foes).  But, they spend more time in the trops as they try to get up.  And again, it's just funny to watch.  🙂  

 

And setting up the remote bomb on an enemy does NOT break stealth.  But detonating it sure does.  🙂  Stealthing in to set up the remote bomb is a perfect thing to do - and SO fun.  😄
