Help me make my Ice/Rad corruptor even more awesome

Bionic_Flea was good enough to help me get started with a build, which I slightly modified to suit my taste (I wanted a hovering character which works great for this combo, perma AM boosts flight speed and since I had never ever tried Afterburner I decided to give it a try)

 

The build below is almost what I'm running becquse Pine's won't let me enter what I am running. I moved Fallout to lvl50 and Pine's won't let me 6-slot it.

so the order of the lat powers is Afterburner, Mutation and Fallout.

 

I'm not sure about Incarnates, I am at 50 but have not yet started building them (not all of them are even unlocked  yet)

 

I find that I almost never use Mutation or Fallout, so I would be fine getting rid of them, but not sure what to take otherwise. I could take superspeed and put an +stealth in a prestige sprint so that flight+SS+Prestige sprint makes me invisible (flight is optional but the only time this character touches the ground is when dead or to open an ouro portal). I can't take the TP pool (too many pools in use) but I think there is a P2Win TP power if I have invis.

 

I'm toying with the idea of using Rune Of Protection, I am working it into another corruptor at the moment so maybe I'll wait to see how that goes.

 

any advice would be appreciated. No hurry, this build rocks even now.

Switch fallout for tactics. and move the slots to brawl or boxing with the superior winter set (5 of them), in order to get 5% more s/l def. This will softcap you and lingering radiation wiil now be 95% accurate instead of 80. You have also 6 slotted AM, I don't think this is necessary just two end/rech +5 IOs from each 50 set is fine, its already perma and you have agility alpha helping both values. Then I added the -res proc to your field...not sure it will help much, test it and see. Anyway here are the improvements I think you can do.

Thanks, good ideas. I'm definitely not getting my money's worth out of fallout. Teammates either don't die, get rezzed before I can fire it off, or are out of range to fire it off too much of the time.

 

 

I have also delayed incarnates even though she is vet level 15 or so. I do have my alpha T3 and T2 or 3 Judgement but I have been wishy washy on Destiny. Mostly not sure if I want to go Radial for the secondary boosts or Core for the perma mezz protection. I will likely have both eventually but I don't have enough threads/salvage yet for that.

I don't have access to a computer atm but I wonder if the KB protection can be freed by putting a blessing of the zephyr in one of the travel powers like one of the sprints? This a hoverer character so KB causes you to do a quick flip in place and IOS not nearly as bad as on a ground based character, so one -KB IO is enough.

I like to say that her feet touch the ground only when defeated or when she needs to open an Ourobouros portal.

 

Not sure where I would put the slot yet if indeed I can drop that.

Yeah, definitely. Also, why are you using so many winter IO sets? Are you trying to get get fire def and res for farms? They are very expensive and often don't add much benefit against most mobs in the game (with the exception of blistering cold giving s/l and winters bite giving energy and s/l/e dmg types are most of the game). Looking over your build again and understanding that it is a hover character (I generally don't play these and prefer to be in the middle of the fray), makes me see that you can free up a lot more slots and build toward s/l/e or rangged def. With the cost of this build, I assume that price is no issue, so I'll revisit this and edit this post with a build that builds for ranged softcap and recharge. An issue to consider though, a lot of the power of /rad comes from the -res from enervating field, will you be able to maintain that on mobs while hovering over them? (will edit this post with a build)

Hovering doesn't mean that I'm far away. But I find that hovering above or slightly to the side of the group is often a good way to hit the most teammates with AM, place my ice storm or blizzard, etc...

Rad toggles have a decent range too.

In the end it's as a much of a character concept thing as anything else. I have a Fire/Time corruptor that is very much a middle of the pack, stick-to-the-tank build and I wanted them to play differently.

 

The good news is that the current build isn't really broken. In fact i'm constantly surprised at how much I can get away with and not die given the not so stellar numbers in Pine's. For example I ended up in the Council mission from Unai Kemen and wiping entire groups by myself without breaking a sweat or bring in danger. Ice has great mitigation built in.

 

It's also the one character I tend to run LRSF with and tend to fare better than a lot of teammates.

 

Looking forward to see what you come up with. I can always store my WIOs for an alt or sell them back if it turns out they weren't needed. I'm hoping I don't have to buy another home set if purples or WIOs but I will find a way to find it off it's really worth it.

Ok, so this has softcapped ranged defense, permahasten and AM, almost perma soul drain, 75% s/l res (capped), and has enough global recharge to run BIB>Freeze Ray>Ice Blast>BIB for ST. You also have good -res procs in ice storm, blizzard, and radiation infection. I included soul drain because it is a great dmg buff and tohit buff, but more importantly you said you often stand to the side of mobs, so it should still work well, just make sure you souldrain before you benumb to get the tohit bonus (you only need to hit 1 mob to get the full +tohit bonus). I hate crash nukes, so I did not take EM pulse and you said you don't really use mutation so I left it out. There is a very similar version of this build that is also softcapped to range and capped to s/l res that takes mu mastery and gives you a pet, but I feel that the benefits of having soul drain always up outweigh the benefits of a pet. Mu mastery may fit the playstyle you are going for more and would also give you more energy resistance. Let me know what you think.

Mu mastery version. Ranged def should be close enough to protect you and s/l res is almost capped. ACC of benumb is 90% which is also close enough for me in most cases, especially because when you will be using benumb (mostly against AVs and EBs), in general, you will be on a team with at least one tohit buff. The Mu pet is 5 seconds from perma. You could use +5s in the pet power to get it to perma, but I'd rather have the extra ranged def when I exemplar down for TFs.
