Something for soloing and farms? Hrm, that's a tricky question, but the overall just raw strength and do it all is Titan/Bio, it will be terrible to solo until you get to level 30+. But once you hit that stride and get your IOs in it'll be beastly.

Are you just planning on running IOs and not sets? If that's the case then I couldn't really recommend that, those sets really require some pretty indepth min/maxing to really push the numbers you need.

No i plan on using sets. i just not sure which ones to use and i just posted the build at where im at. I don't have influence to buy full sets right now. i plan on doing that when im 50. I just want to know if im on the right track through the leveling process. I would also like to know what sets i should be getting too. thanks

So far that's looking good, for an end game I'd probably go with this.

This is a very open ended question.  I don't really know what people farm these days.  Freakshow and demons were the classic farmed critters back in the day.

Different scrappers will excel at different tasks.  For old-line game content, Spines/WP is very good.  If you want to do AE missions, or work in revamped Dark Astoria or Incarnate stuff, something like Dark Melee paired with Super Reflexes, Shields, or Ninjitsu may serve you better.

Which is better in your opinion SR or Nin?

That's going to be a matter of opinion.

SR is easier to softcap and has way more DDR.

I prefer Ninjitsu on my main for instance, because it gives me the AGILE AND REGENERATING hero feel I want to play (WP gives me it too, but the meta aspect, positional defenses mean it a bit more than typed defenses).  SR lacks that Regenerating feel.

However, Ninjitsu has 3 clickies, the mez resist, the heal and the +end power.  SR just has the mez protection.  For a weapon set, you may not want those two additional click powers.

Plus, I love the +RUN/JUMP/Stealth on Ninja.  Can't combine it with Stealth Power itself, which makes me not want to take the Concealment pool, but can't have it all.  😛

For soloing AVs, Dark Melee is a great choice. Siphon Life is fantastic, especially on a high recharge build. For farming I would go with Spines or Electric Melee. Fire has great ST damage too and decent AoE. TW/Bio will excel at everything, but takes a heavy investment to reach it's potential.

Should i be focusing on defense or resist with bio?

Smash/Lethal resists to augment Hardened Carapace. Typed defense (e/ne/f/c/psi) to augment Environmental Modification.

Also remember that Bio works a lot like a regen set with lots of regen and absorb shields baked into it's cool down clickies.

Most Scrappers aren't the greatest for farming due to the lack of a taunt aura. There's a big difference between a Spines/Fire Scrapper vs Brute because of that.

I'll have to concur with the tw/bio suggestions. It really does turn into an end game monster. I've got my solo ITF time close to 30 minutes.

Cool! Would you be willing to share your build so i can compare with mine?It seems pretty expensive to get the TW/Bio filled out.

Good at farming and solo'ing I'd say Fire/Shield. It has better AoE than dark melee but better st than elec melee. I have no idea how TW would play as a farmer but I hate farming so /em shrug.

I think few people actually enjoy it. If I had a more reliable way to make inf I know I wouldn't do it myself.

I'm no pro farmer, but I've always liked mindlessly grinding away on enemies that I know well. For me, farming is just that taken to the extreme. Kind of calm and relaxing. But if you don't like farming, you can probably make influence even faster playing the market. And I've heard you can make influence very fast speeding through some task forces. There are probably other approaches too. I hate to see people feeling forced into activities they don't enjoy to buy a good build.

I don't mind farming so much every now and then, but when faced with builds that can cost hundreds of millions (like the above tw/bio one) it is daunting. I know one doesn't always need purpled out builds to do most content, but some builds don't really shine until one really kits it out. I'd love to be one of those people that can play the market and make a ton of influence while just sitting in auction house mode, but admittedly I don't have much of a head for making that work. In fact I end up losing money when trying it lol. In any case I'd like to see what a tw/bio scrapper can do, and it's gonna cost a pretty penny. I already know from my wm/bio scrapper that bio really needs IO love to shine and to plug its many many gaps.

You get EMP Merits every 3 Vet Levels.  Run even just the simple Apex/Tin Mage TFs.  Upgrade your Alpha through Shards only.  Run double on some TFs that offer Shard Components as well as Merits, helps vet levels and you can still get 2 rewards.

It may take a bit of time, but you will get there.

For farming I'd do something like this. Suitable for any TF and any regular content. For Incarnate softcap, just resource to Barrier Destiny and Melee Hybrid or just purple insps.  Plenty of AoE dmg plus Dark Blast and Moonbeam should sort out any ST dmg issues although I don't have the slightest clue whether you could solo AV's with this build or not since it's not something I've ever been interested in, sorry.

Market PvP. I've made 1.7b inf in 40 days.

That's how I purpled out my builds in the old game. I haven't even started on market PvP yet in the new game. I thought I spotted a decent opportunity, an IO where the price swung wildly between 1 million and 10 million, but by the time I decided to go for it, the price swings had settled down to nothing. I think I traded recipes instead of IOs in the old game. Had a few favorites that had a pretty reliable large swing over the course of maybe a week.

It is stupid easy to make money on the market now. Buy uncommon recipes, convert them rares for a 500% markup, profit.
