Nanfoodle Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I was a CoH guy back in the vanilla days. So this is kinda new for me. I left before villains came into the picture. So any advice here would be awesome, thanks!
Aurethious Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 The difference, I believe, working from memory and the limited chance I've had to jump back in... Freedom: You start on Primal Earth - either Paragon City or the Rogue Isles Rogue: You start in Praetoria Apologies if I have that wrong, I'm sure someone will jump in correct me if so.
Nanfoodle Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 Found the answer and thanks for the reply.... Freedom is the "standard" way of playing. It allows you to create your character and start as either a Hero or a Villain. The "Going Rogue" option allows you to create a character that starts in the parallel world of "Praetoria." You start as either a Loyalist or Resistance figher in Praetoria. From there, once you hit level 20, then can then decide to go to either the Rogue Isles (Villain) or Paragon City (Hero).
sindyr Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Praetorian (Going Rogue pre20) is generally considered a more difficult/challenging leveling experience with tougher mobs.
Smiling Joe Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 And how again do you start in Praetoria in this version? Didn't see that option...
Radionuclide Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 And how again do you start in Praetoria in this version? Didn't see that option... You have to go through the new tutorial, I believe, and at the end of that you make your choice.
Myrdinn Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 The three intros you have for hero/villain are the old hero intro (Outbreak), old villain intro (Breakout), and the new introduction that lets you choose between hero and villain (Galaxy City). If you pick the "gold" side option (rogue), you start off in Praetoria (and you choose between the flavours of Praetorian at the end).
