Flashtoo Posted November 28, 2020 Share Posted November 28, 2020 This isn't much compared to most of what I see here, but I gave the teleporter room in my group's fairly-oldschool-style base a facelift yesterday on account of the new zone beacons and I'm very pleased with the result: I color-coded the vegetation and torches on each platform, as well as added colored effects to the teleports themselves, to make things easier to find (blue for hero, red for villain, yellow/white for Praetoria, green for hazard and trial zones, purple for Shadow Shard and Pocket D). Also the detailing around the entrance and the skylights isn't new but I'm proud of it, so: 8 Character portrait artist for hire, PM for details! The base holds the teleports and NPCs, ATMs, etc. Mid section holds workshop and the tip is for lounging. Nestled between Kings Row and Brickstown, Brentwood has a larger population than Myst Have (about 250) of 2600. Currently working on different shops such as an automotive shop, a bank, ice cream shop (because yes, there needs to be an ice cream shop), a recreation facility with basketball court and baseball diamond, and a few other shops. Here's what I've got so far. Spoiler Basic view of the streets in Brentwood. Left side has all the actual businesses, while the right side is a set of faux apartments. Skylight 2 works really well for third floor windows. The weekly newspaper for Brentwood, the Brentwood Courier-News. Radio station, WABC-FM, 98.5 The Brick. As yet unnamed restaurant. Side street leading to Nick's Storage. Brentwood Grocers, which even has one of those coin op horses outside. Myst Haven has one. Whoever produced them is making a killing. Hammond Travel, with locations in Myst Haven and Brentwood. Health Centre, complete with a V-TOL craft for transporting serious patients to the hospitals in Kings Row or Brickstown. Brentwood's got an Icon! The first business/residence for one of my characters, Dixon Lee. He's a private investigator. His office is on the left side, parking garage on the right. Elevator in the middle which goes up to his second floor studio apartment. The rental for my second character, Fransaskois/Erica Lafayette. A small two storey house with detached garage. I'm finally at the point where I'm okay with sharing the base with all of you: TESS-18557. The airship has a aft sitting parlor, Cargo Hold port side and Repair Bay starboard side. The Bridge has Engineering port-side and Navigation starboard-side. Doesn't work very well. I have to fiddle my Windows desktop resolution or I'm playing in a narrow-tall Window or section of my screen. And these are the resolution choices I'm given. Had I known exactly what a problem it was going to be, I'd have gone for the non-4K monitor (2560x1440 IIRC) and run them native res. As it is, I'm having to use screen magnification to keep the desktop legible (4K on 27" monitors is nigh-illegible). (And it woulda saved me about $800 too!) If you want to be godlike, pick anything.
