Blessing of Tikikikikiululululu or whatever her name is might be the longest lasting temp at 5 days of in-game time in duration, but that's not a day job. 🤣

120 hours of gameplay. It's so long you could conceivably build around it (provided you don't AFK). I've kept it for months on some characters. Always a little sad when it expires!

Can it be re-upped by rerunning the Dream Doctor arc? I’m guessing so but I never really considered it.

The Splintered Soul Project: (Nyght****) 21 and counting (18 max).

First alpha version of Kiski way way way back DID build around it.

No patron pools? No problem!

DB/Bio/BLAZE @ 0:49s

T4 Musc Core / T4 Ageless Core / T4 Degen Core / T4 Assault Core (Active)

The BU procs in BF and RoF are carrying a lot of this DPS. But either way, Blaze Mastery is a great option if you're too lazy to get the patron powers for both AoE and ST contributions.

Love it. I've long been a fan of RoF on scraps w/o a taunt (not applicable to bio of course) because it doesn't matter how great your dps is if it won't stand still.

and RoF is no damage slouch itself.

I think RoF has been a less talked about VERY good alternative for chasing DPS. Personally, I just really really like the snipe and combination of Shadow Meld (or Ball Lightning). Melt Armor is SEVERELY underrated also.

Also, I was getting 1:30 something times and going "....wtf?" then noticed I didn't have Offensive Adaptation on for some reason. Time went under a minute with Hybrid on right after that. 😛

I love how clean that DB chain looks. All fast animations and dead simple 1-2-3-4 with no conditionals. Looks like ASMR for fingers.

Same! I’m gonna try to use RoF in other sets now because I like having one chain rather than the alternating you do with most snipe chains.

I think this is also more fun than the “god chain”. Pushing 1>2>3>2>1 was so boring IMO. It’s nice to have a ranged attack to use against runners. And this one doesn’t require ridiculous recharge.

Looks like BF-Ablating-RoF-Sweeping?

Can you get enough recharge running Bio Armor to do that, or is it just that RoF kind of just slots in perfectly?

Yes. I didn’t have that much recharge (80-90% before hasten i think) and didn’t slot any recharge into the attacks.

RoF only has a 10s recharge, so it fits really nicely into the chain and maintains a good proc rate. BF is 12s and SS is 11s, which is perfect for RoF.

A note on how I look at attack chains:

Attack A (Crit Strikes): 10-12s

Attack B (CS Window): 8-14s

Attack C1 (CS Window - Snipe): 24s

Attack C2 (CS Window - Pool): 8-12s

Attack C3 (CS Window - Primary): 6-14s

Attack D (Filler): Any

*Attack D can sometimes be in CS window, like Sweeping Strike is in my DB/Bio*

Most powersets follow this pattern where you have your crit strikes power (A) at around 10-12s recharge, a follow up attack (B) at 8-12s recharge, and then a pool power or third primary power attack (C). RoF is nice because it allows the chain to repeat so you can just do A>B>C>D.

But more commonly, you could use a snipe and rotate between your snipe and a pool/primary attack as your chain finisher. Which would be A>B>C1>A>B>C2/C3.

It all depends on your global recharge and the cd time of your optimal attacks.

Examples:

Claws:

FU(A)>Focus(B)>Snipe(C1)>FU(A)>Focus(B)>Shockwave(C3)

Martial Arts:

EC(A)>CAK(B)>Snipe(C1)>EC(A)>CAK(B)>SK(C3)>CP(D)

Stone Melee:

SS(A)>HM(B)>Snipe(C1)>SM(C3)>CP(D)

This is golden, thanks! It is just very interesting to me because it seems like it allows you to pretty much match the damage, or at least come close to it, of the Uber stacked recharge builds for DB… but you don’t have to give up other areas by trying to hit that crazy level or recharge. Cool option!

Not gonna lie, this made me totally re-evaluate my DB/ENA build. I'm averaging the same time as before, but including Melt Armor in the build makes me feel like I'm adding some real good utility to a team besides just raw personal DPS. Thanks @Ston.

And I'm sure you noticed how freaking frustrating miss streaks with Sweeping Strike are.

Build I'm going to (the one I tried on Brainstorm was getting low 1:30s for an average):

Hyrbid off, this is an average of at least 5 runs (this was 7 or 8...I was honestly wondering if this was a fluke).

If you get bored can you try the same chain on a DB/Stone/Blaze scrapper?

I have a DB/Stone/Mu and I run BF-AS-SS-AS with the proc'd out snipe subbed in after BF when it's up (BF has the crit-strikes proc).  I wasn't getting 49 second times.  So I'm wondering how much of that is really Bio on top of the DB chain.

Honestly, DB/Stone with hybrid active can definitely get similar times. DB can be a streaky c*nt if you get to many SS misses.

*Yea, it does.

DB on a defense, or hybrid set like stone, works really well build wise (to me) with this.

Took a couple passes with a not-quite-there En/En/Body Stalker (T3 Musc, T2 Reactive, no Hybrid yet) that I've done some objectively non-optimal things with (oh hi procced out Cross Punch!).

High end: ~405 DPS (2 min 18 seconds)

Low end: ~383 DPS (2 min 30 seconds)

Pretty swingy because of Build Up/Hide proccing, EnM shenanigans, a funky attack chain, yadda yadda.

("Chain": Slow ET > TF > Fast ET > Cross Punch > AS, and then it breaks so I just do whatever)

Are people noticing significant differences between Degen and Reactive? I’m getting very similar times with either.

Personally, I don't. It's only consistently noticeable when timed, and even then, I've never noticed by much. But for someone like me, it's enough to get frustrated at the difference when timed. Outside of pylon runs, especially solo, odds are you won't notice. Reactive DOES have the advantage that it will ignore total HP and you will still get it's full benefit. With Degen you can not, since it removes a set amount on very high HP targets, which ends up being a wash (thing Reichsman).

Right on, thank you. Good news for me because I like Reactive more, bad news for me for ‘wasting’ all that incarnate salvage 😅

Would you be willing to share this build?

Also curious how you have a double stack of Hasten for the first 1/3 of the run or so. I know it doesn't stack but was this on the beta server using the QA powers?

Yep, here it is! And yeah I was using the burnout power so it shows 2 hastens on the buff bar. I think I got 3 BU procs total that test? So a little more than average with 2 BU procs in the rotation and using them every time they're recharged.

I don’t play on test so maybe there are special powers over there that I am not familiar with.  Which burnout power are you talking about?   You don’t have the actual burnout power in your build.
