Dark/Dark Build

FrankyMagic

Recommended Posts

Hey folks, so I finally made a Dark Controller and I'm having lots of fun with it, I'm just about to come up to level 10 and I'm thinking on swapping my build around so here's what I'm thinking thus far... Haven't really thought about enhancements yet either so any advice there would also be appreciated. 🙂 Many thanks! 😄

If you're talking relatively cheap and aiming for recharge 1st (which seems sensible because both Darks like recharge) sets like Dark Watchers Despair in some -ToHit powers (Fearsome stare, Darkest Night and Dark Servant for sure) and Basilaks Gaze in holds are good. Expedient Reinforcements in Haunt and Doggie. Replace with purps and ATOs if youve got cash.

LOTG in every +Def power going too obviously. Probably worth picking up maneuvers for it too if possible (replace Air Sup maybe?). Shadow Fall is a good place for the Resist uniques.

Also dont be afraid to frankenslot where it makes most sense. Soul Absorb I feel works better frankenslotted to max out recharge and grant decent Regen & recovery rather than worrying about a set bonus in there.

Im running Illusion / Dark but a fair number of things translate across to Dark Control pretty well. My build (level 49 now and close to perma PA and Fade) was posted here

My piloting skills kind of suck, so I generally stick to running and jumping.  But this is one I've been playing around with.  I'm about half done slotting it in game, so I can't speak to it's effectiveness just yet.

This one below with PSI Mastery is one that I farm +4/8 with.  My only real complaint is that I can't attack as much as I'd like, because my debuffs come around so quickly.  I'd say it's my "all around" solo build.  It doesn't really excel in any one area, but it'll keep you running and gunning.  I love having Mez protection, so you'll see it as a common theme in my toons.
