The damage will be decent due to the scrappers Crit procs, which are fun when you get that burst. Brutes generate fury when attacking and being attacked, so if your idea is not to be attacked within range, I would go with Scrapper. Someone can correct me, but Brutes Fury generates while being attacked as well as attacking. Not sure how much fury is generated by attacking alone. Something to explore. Brutes are tougher, so there is also that to take into consideration as well if you are soloing only.

Here is the Ranged Scrapper build as well, as I just think its better than a Brute. Went with Spines and SR, This looks more interesting for me. Rune of Prot and Elude can save your butt and 2 travel powers. Went with ageless due to Elude crash 😃 Scrapper (Spines - Super Reflexes).mbd

Here is a ranged focused Brute build I quickly threw together. I think Claws is a decent set for this. Plenty of ranged cones and a ranged ST. Still took spin just because it makes sense you will be getting aggro. If you want more ST, you can certainly swap the epic pool for something else. I took Intuition for the damage and the range, but you can take Cardiac too for more res and end redux. The only Caveat is that follow through needs melee for the stackable buff. Don't see any of the other sets really being any better though. If you simply cannot have follow through and dont want the damage buff and sacrifice it to stay mostly all ranged, swap it for arcane bolt. If you want a faster recharge or avoid any of the claw attacks, Project Will is also available. Lastly, just remember that Brutes are fury based, so not getting attacked will gimp you. Brute (Spines - Ice Armor).mbd Here is the latest iteration I have created for the Brute. Let me know what you think. With Absorption it maintains S/L/E/Neg/Fire Def caps. Hasten is near perma. Only downside is the energy res is lower and not as many + dmg sets. If you take Agility or Cardiac can probably wiggle more out of it vs the musc I took. Another option is Rune of Protection for added survivability or whirlwind with KD for more toggle fun.

The other option I thought is go Tanker and get Cardiac along with whirlwind with KD, but wanted to see a damage version of this. Would Scrapper be better?

Hello again. I decided to switch from WM to EM, so changed the build a little bit. Can you check this build out and see if I am on the right track? Thanks. I tried to slot max hp where I could, and try to balance out resistences. I kind of like the heal procs on SR which is why I also am taking rebirth for the heal/regen.
