Hoping someone else has an answer to this as its happened to me and a friend of mine a few times as well. Have to reboot whole PC as everything starts lagging hard. This didn't start happening until the most recent patch. SOMEthing is messed up, but as the OP states, all my scans turn up nothing as well.
