  1. Yes but it is when it misses and every single other attack misses as well.

    Press 1 key - Miss

    Press 2 key - Miss

    Press 3 key - Miss

    Press 4 key - Miss

1 is back up press - Miss

    Eat Green Insp

It happens it just annoying when it does, because you jumped into the middle of those mobs for a reason and there were a lot of them and missing is not an option.

  2. A thing that you can do if you are out leveling your missions is to crank up your missions, 1+, 2+.

I do that after grouping up and gaining a few levels, keeps the mobs from being grey to you.

The most annoying aspect is when you out level your contact and they only give you a new contact and no more missions.

  3. I remember when it first came into the game and it was the place to go and level up your new characters.

Lots of other playing there as well and you did not have the drama of getting lost in the Perez Park woods.

Now I have not been in there all that much but like Perez Park it is rare to see someone else when you are in there.

Lots of mobs so it should see more individuals leveling but most rather run sewers or DFB instead.

  4. Water blast has some amazing aoes, and the animations are just fun.

Created a Empath/Water Hero this past weekend and she can hold her own.

Though she did die to Undead puke early on in the sewers while on a mission.

Want to get her another level or two and then off to Perez Park and look for nice tight groups of Blues.

  5. This is intended as a light hearted post about certain things that annoy your main character. NOT a dig at the game in any way.

If you start by saying what your main is, and their powersets.

So, Elec/Elec Brute. Things that annoy my character.

1 - Toxic damage, mostly those Vahziloks puking on me! I can take on a horde of Rikti without a scratch, but one load of puke and I'm dying.

2 - Tsoo kinetic attacks, like I get it, you want me to move slowly, do you really need to stack it about 20 times on me!?

    3 - CoT maps. Don't think I'm alone here.

4 - Enemies that run away. While I know I'm scary, If I have to chase you, I'm bringing a world of hurt! I'm talking to you flying Longbow.

5 - Vanguard swords. Oh it's just a sword, that's ok I have decent resistances....what the hell! Why am I dead!? Those things really hurt!

    Basically the same.

Vahzilok puke will drop your health quick.

Back in the day when I was playing a Electric/Electric Blapper it would be a gamble on whether or not those Tsoo mez'ers would lock me down before I dropped all of them.  There were plenty of times where I powered up and jumped into the middle of a group only to find my Blapper being locked down but good.  That usually meant a trip to the hospital and more debt that I would just burn off on.

It really cave maps that are the pain, CoT's just like to hang out in them.

  6. Unfortunately, I would have to vote no, as metrics and their tracking of have dark implications.

Also, whenever someone mentions WoW, I feel like a toilet was just flushed, and overflowed. Terrible game.

I agree, who really cares about Damage Meters, plus certain Blasters have some serious AoE output with their last ability.

WoW was once a great game but Blizzard ran it into the ground with putting in Damage meters and other junk that was not needed.

  7. I absolutely love elec/.  The problems I have are that it takes an age to kill anything.

Pick up the Nemesis Staff and the Sands of Mu power from the PW2 dealer.

The Staff is a range power and the Sands of Mu is melee that can hit more than one mob if you are position right.

Both do decent damage and should help with the putting mobs down.

  8. Hello I am:

    Stormwillow

    Mr Klean

    Countess Kassandra

    Major Freedom

    Nikki Midnight

    Victor Gunn

Widow Queen (okay she is a villain)

    Flame Mistress

There have been a few others but they got deleted.

    and I'm an Altaholic.

I am trying to control this but I do enjoy creating new characters and I just know that I will create another one tonight.

  9. I remember how easy it was to get lost in the trees of Perez Park before Vidiot Maps.

Even with Vidiot...  I still get lost, but it used to be a lot worse.

So true, once had a character who made several levels just because they did get lost in there.

I also remember when Perez Park would be a great place to team up but these bays you rarely see anyone in there.

  10. Best way to survive as a Blaster

    Well...

    Know when to run away.

Well and last Friday night I decided to clear my three Terra Volta missions - solo.

20 each of Lost, Sky Raiders & Freakshow.

Well after dropping like 90 mobs and face planting 7 times was able to basically Snipe my way through those three missions.

Did rack up some debt but just burnt through that faster than killing all of those mobs.

  11. I ran an Electric/Electric Blapper and she was loads of fun to play.

Today she is a Electric/Energy Blapper so not so much worry with the Knock back but it is fun to punch mobs off of high places.

Since she is an Blapper she has limited range ability; Zapp, Lightning Bolt & Ball of Lightning, but with two Power Ups; Aim & Build Up she can have two instant Zapp's during fights.

She is almost level 24 so she still has a long way to go but built right she will once again become a Boss killing machine.

Drain them dry of Endurance and punch them into the ground.

Oh and since I prefer Flight as a Travel power Air Superiority is a most have power for Blappers, gives you another up close and personal attack that is on a quick recharge.

  12. All I described was... Build-Up plus a Nuke. This may soon be you.

    Finally

Never not take your Sustain, your Build-Up if you have one (sometimes they're named a bit different like Chronos or Upshot) and your Nuke. What others call "attrition" battles you call "dead in five seconds". Kill them. Kill everything, and make sure anything that isn't dead will be stunned and blinded on its ass until you get to them. Scorched earth.

Oh so true, I remember my Electric/Electric Blapper once she got her super nuke she was golden.

Drove my Defender buddy crazy since I would find the biggest group of mobs and power up and turn on certain powers and jump right into the middle of them.

She died a lot but because she was so good at taking out groups of mobs she never was in perm-debt, because she would burn it off so quickly.

We would go run the Werewolf zones and the Tanker would round up several groups and I would sit waiting until he brought them back to us and I would power up and fire off her Nuke.

All you could see were numbers as the normal's & Lt's starting dropping and the Bosses would have taken huge damage.

But who became their number one target?  My Blapper and she would run around until the Tanker got them on him again.

I would heal up and he would go and get another group and every 3+ minutes I would just fire off the Nuke.

Oh and since Electric ability was to drain Endurance she became quite good at taking down Bosses single handed since when they have no Endurance they are not using any of their better abilities.

Today she is a Electric/Energy these days and is still a Blapper but now she has two Power-Up's (Aim & Build Up), both which make Zapp an instant cast.

She is only level 23 and just cannot wait to get her Nuke at 32, because when she does she is going to get it six slotted as fast as possible.

  13. I like either playing solo or with my wife. I like to experience the missions instead of joining up with a leveling team.

My problem is I find it extremely hard to play anything but a mastermind with heals. I normally send my pets in to get aggro, then attack and heal.  I tried other archetypes but I find I die too much.  Am I doing something wrong or what? I don't know how to enjoy the other archetypes.

    PS - I can't stand melee.

Okay not sure what other archtypes you have tried but if you are finding out that you are dying all the time then either:

You are going after mobs that are Orange/Red or Purple

    or

You are trying to take on too many mobs at once

Plus you are not running away when you need to.

I have played nearly all archtypes and yes there will come the time where you will be taking a dirt nap but that will happen.

I main a Blapper (Electric/Energy) so a Blaster that spends more time in melee than she probably should but she has the ability to drop most Bosses along with everything else.

Oh I do solo most of the time as well and will go after any mob that will provide exp as I travel between missions of heading somewhere.

Now pure healers can have issues since they do tend to lack in damage output but every other archtype should be able to solo fairly well.
