Hell if its only 800 dollars more a month for a separate server, I'll pay it myself lol. Ideally I feel a "Hardcore Dedicated Server" would be an amazing popular idea. They would be flooded with people IMO ofc. However I do like the "checkbox" idea as well. However when it comes to the powers and teamming with people, no need to change anything. If he dies during a TF, thats just life people move on. And just don't get rez powers, easy fix.

Guys guys I apologize! I didn't know all this was going to cause this much strife. I was just trying evolve a game I love. Yes everyone might not agree with it, and it possibly could be wrong, but I agree with it and I'm trying to get it implemented! Just like any one else with an idea and has the balls to put it out there. I don't mind forking up some of my cash to get it down either if its a matter of money. 800 a month isn't much and I'm sure the server would skyrocket anyways!

Don't you think everyone is being a tad negative about new upcoming ideas? Maybe the "majority" of people on here are right." Lets keep the same game we've had for 20 years at this point, and not try to evolve the game in different ways other than adding a few new power sets here and there, and the occasional new mission thread. That will keep the game alive surely. I wasn't expecting such a negative response like this overall. Keep treating new ideas like this over and over again and it might just eventually kill the game again.

It's time for him to finally change! Now that it's agreed on I have an idea 💡 THE SHOGUN! Shoguns are known to be powerful and influential leaders. Able to lead their brothers in arms effectively. I suggest the shogun would have a combination of martial art and katana abilities as well as leadership powers that empower the genins and jonins as well as the Mastermind!

I think you guys are missing the point here! Anyone can suggest anything and there are going to be people who agree or disagree. Both sides make good points for their being a hardcore server and for one not existing. I've been reading the your replies and taking in all the info. There's no right or wrong way to play any game. These are just my opinion of course, I don't have all the answers. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would appreciate a dedicated hardcore server where the rules and regulations are implanted by force to everyone on the server. Sure I can create a self rule but that's very different than everyone forced to follow the same rules. And if you don't want to participate, don't play in the server!

I appreciate the feed back! I've seen a lot on this forum over the few years I've played on homecoming but was never compelled to post until today! Dungeon and Dragon's Online, World of Warcraft, Runescape and more have implanted this idea into their games. Despite the unfairness of disconnecting, or getting killed in one shot. All of which arguably "out of their control" these servers have been flooded by players where other wise most of the areas were "ghost towns". Its a "formula" that has show time and time again to work. It's not the same to set "self rules" or even group rules. A server that makes your character immediately unplayable upon death is completely different, especially if every person you see has followed the survived thus far. Seeing lvl 50s actually would mean something

Homecoming is by far the most popular adaptation of COH so, it definitely wouldn't be the same as a "sub par" one creating a hardcore server IMO ofc

I wasn't aware this has been brought up before. However if there is a hardcore server made, guarantee it would be the most populated by far!

Its the future, I'm positive its going to happen! So many other games are adding Hardcore servers as well, despite it being "against the lore" and what not. People now adays join teams, barely chat, no thought process, zerging through missions without a care. This will incite people to chat more, use more teamwork and feel their actions! Would it not!?
