Power Armor as:
Bio Armor: The worn armor manifests different organic configurations to protect against incoming attacks.
Dark Armor: The worn armor generates a field of negative energy that protects the wearer against incoming attacks, even draining those that get too close.
Electric Armor: The worn armor intentionally routes its power externally to protect against incoming attacks and harm those that get too close.
Energy Aura: The worn armor generates defensive fields around the wearer.
Fiery Aura: The worn armor attempts to incinerate incoming attacks, also resulting in harming those that get too close.
Ice Armor: The worn armor generates icy barriers on itself protecting the wearer from incoming attacks.
Invulnerability: The worn armor deflects incoming attacks due to attacks bouncing off it, protecting the wearer from incoming attacks.
Ninjutsu: The worn armor supplements the wearer's shinobi training or grants the wearer capabilities equal to a shinobi.
Radiation Armor: The worn armor protects the wearer against incoming attacks, with a built in medical unit, and harms those that get too close from the leaking radiation.
Regeneration: The worn armor is a medical suit that heals the wearer at impossible rates.
Shield Defense: ... not so much, but wearing armor with a shield is a pretty common thing. (Though worn armor goes a long way in explaining how your shield is able to protect you in all directions at once.)
Stone Armor: The worn armor generates or attracts rock or crystals to shield the wearer from harm.
Super Reflexes: The worn armor amplifies the wearer's movement speed and reaction time, even blunting damage.
Willpower: The worn armor deflects incoming attacks or bolsters the wearer's movement/reaction speed enough to evade attacks, while blunting incoming harm and even comes with built in medical unit.
So many different ways to build a power armor character in this game. I'm not casting aspersions on the set's mechanics, I'm just saying that having the set automatically be a specifically power armor set is a big middle finger to power armor concepts outside of your proposal. Is it really that bad for the set to be more inclusive for character concepts than "This is THE power armor set"?
When I think of "power armor", I think of Master Chief from Halo. Or Gordon Freeman from Half Life. None of those power sets really fit the power armor bill unfortunately. A power armor set that focues on the theme of technology suit would be pretty dope, in my opinion.
EDIT: Energy Aura would probably fit the most if we want power armor, since one of the abilities gives you an energy shield as if you had power armor. -
In my opinion I don't think this option should even show at all on the profile nor should there be a way to see someone's date of creation. What's the point? I can't think of a single other MMO that provides this same function. It just gives a way for others to look down at other people, or for an account to "look cool" by having an old year-date. It's ultimately pointless.

Every time I make "normal" toons I always try to rationalize how they use travel powers. Jetpack, super-jump, hover, flying, it's always an issue with trying to justify it not to mention, playing as a fire-fighter or a police officer that is some-how jumping like spider-man just never looks right thematically! I started thinking about the cars that constantly move in the game and how we can even use cars as objects in bases, would any of you think it's possible to use cars as a travel power? Now here me out here, I don't have any statistics at all (I'm not a math person lol!) nor do I have any idea on what the speed percentage / jump percentages would be but here is what I CAN visualize for the car travel power:
1. It functions similar to weapon customization on the costume changing UI where you can customize the power and change it to other pre-set vehicles in the game. Pre-set vehicles would be the various ones you see in game, like the golden car, the police cars, tanks, race cars, vans (for the hippies!), perhaps even a "blank" car you can select a color and paint for (if the coding is possible)
2. (Broke Version): Once you press the car travel power, you "poof" into the respective vehicle you choose.
(Wealthy Version): New animation set of character waiting for vehicle, going inside vehicle and changing into said vehicle. I imagine the car would just appear out of no-where, maybe park by your character in a speedy-fashion.3. Something to fill this line. I have no other suggestions really. I just want to use a car in this game lol.

Thank you all. I know I have read a lot about folks disagreeing with taking Temporal manipulation with Beam, but let me just say that I know I do not use it in a normal rotation due to things just falling over so quickly but when I am with friends doing AVs it helps so much on being able to take them down.
I've been having great results with my beam rifle / temporal toon Madam Steam. Thunderstrike is an amazing enhancement also, very good build here I think.

I'm very ecstatic about the activation of the name policy. I've made lots of costumes already in preparation to getting a couple of names I have been dying to get.

I hope this is not a necro post, but I have been using this build for my thugs / poison villainous stepford Goodwife, and let me tell you, this build is very nice and the power set is strong too. I only made this build for thematic purposes and just like you, I realized this build is very good, I don't see lots of thugs / poison builds so this may be a slept on power set.

See.... i THOUGHT she had a body and now reading you stating this, I am kind of remembering all of this from back on live ages ago too. I've only defeated her a couple times since Homecoming launched, but fully accept that i could be misremembering.
However, just logged in and got lucky and found her!! I can confirm, when she dives, she does NOT currently show a body, flippers, or tail. This is all you see before she disappears - the bottom of her neck.... (Sorry I'm not tech-savvy enough to do a video.)
Where is this spot located? I never been there, although that may be because I'm such an avid redsider..

Sharkman
Lovebird
Offbeat
I took these but if I can't make a good toon out of them, I will release them

Maybe I'm ignorant of WW but I'm not sure if she's strong enough to even carry a planet. I know the Hulk or Superman could, but WW? Hmm I'm not sure.

I notice in City of Heroes there are a variety of factions that are sort of based on elements. Hellions are kind of based on the flame / demon aspect, Skulls are based on the darkness, Clockworks are sort of a mixture of the psyche and electricity, but I haven't really seen a group that is soley focused on the ice or snow element. Is there one currently or is it just the outcasts that have frost enemies?

I had to take Glacielle, cute name for an Ice character.

There aren't any voodoo powers aside from maybe necromancy so I think some voodoo inspired powers would be cool. I was also inspired by this video below
It looks like it's from another server however but I think something like this would be pretty cool..-

If someone could help me figure out a good name of a transgender superhero of any gender, I would appreciate you so much.

I think the endgame should be PVPVE..... player created content for players through the architect system. A progression to live out a top villain or hero designing missions for other players to go on that will level them up for interesting rewards and give the other players rewards too.
The architect system was such a great first step towards opening up a ton of content for players. But they were scared of people leveling too fast (lol) or farming (lol) and getting other rewards from it..... in the end, none of that mattered. Now you can farm and level up and all the rest doing all sorts of things just as easy.THIS!!!! Sorry, I don't really know what to say but I agree with this.

It may be time to turn on the inactive name policy. Just saying.
You took the words right out of my mouth. There's thousands of super group names that are just inactive because the accounts don't even use them anymore.. we need to clean out some names, either super group names or real names. I myself don't even hog accounts and if I did, I would give them away to the person asking.

If anyone is leading or in the Super Group 'Hellions', My flame villain would love to join and represent. Not sure even if this SG is active but I hope someone knows of it!

Maybe have a medieval-esque European name, like Baldwin or Bertram. I saw a knight toon on Everlasting with the name "Cedric" which I thought was pretty cool.

I just want to mention: I just logged onto an utterly bottom-shelf, metastasized-from-Twitter, crybully shitshow; I was going to play some tonight, but I guess not.
I bring this up because it was an example of what I really hope does not become more common with the game opening up.
Granted, it's not as if I'd never seen such a thing before, and there were some of the known bad actors on my shard involved so I'm guessing that's how it started, but what worries me is they'll get stronger, and aforementioned bad actors will look like leaders to noobs with similar opinions, and from there you could get a whole Hobbesian Leviathan that is vastly worse than the sum of its parts.
Social Media culture definitely ruined the MMO enviroment the first time around (the timing was right on the nose, I remember it all too well), and it's taken this long, plus banishment to the Netherworld, to get more-good-than-bad again.
I'm just hoping what I saw remains an aberration; there's already too much of it. I won't name names, but it does make me wish some folks would STFU at long last.
I definitely understand where you are coming from. I think I was there or I know who you are talking about. I don't like my video games filled with twitter crap so hopefully that was just a rarity.

Thugs/Poison is pretty good too. You weaken your enemies with poison and thugs finish them off.

The watchtower looks amazing, so does the amazing huge castle. Wow, such talent!!! Definitely would hire you guys to make a hell landscape realm for my demon toon (castle, rivers of magma, lakes of fire, people suffering) Beautiful work all around!!!
