[Singularity problem]

I have narrowed it down to the stealth power I think.  The defense bonus seems to go away when you bring out your pet like you are in combat mode

I have an interesting problem with the singularity pet.  Before I bring out the pet, my melee defense is 32% and everything adds up perfectly.  When I bring out the pet, the defense drops by 7% to 25% but all the numbers still add up to 32%.  When I put the pet away, the number goes back to 32%.  Anybody else experience this?
