    EDIT: Thanks for al the great answers! -- I just started playing this game for the first time ever a few days ago, and I noticed that some people seem to be ridiculously overpowered with levels in the hundreds or even thousands. Am I reading their profiles right? If so how do you get to such a high level and does doing so actually give any mechanical benefits?
