  1. 1 - Hasten uptime = consistant cooldowns. 2 - While the rotation of the skills used might need to change, I don't think that they will be doing much attacking once the first skill goes off. 3 - seems with the slotting I have that I've got a break free I can use even when mezzed. 4 - I don't plan to farm solo. I have a tank for that.
  2. I find that early game stuff, like task forces etc is not really going to be done all that often. Probably a couple of times for the badges and so forth, but I'm never going to be running them solo. As for the recharge, I want perma hasten, and it looks like, at least according to MIDS that all the reduction I have slotted are actually lowering the recharge of all the powers.. so is it a global 10% cap or 10% per power cap and global is added on top? As for survival, well, I plan to be at range, for small numbers of mobs, and will probably be sniping them from the air. For large packs, it's Triple AoEs with time shift, end of time, and atomic blast combo. Doubt much will survive it, and those that do will be held and stunned. And that's only if/ when I'm soloing. As you can see the build is mostly AoEs, so I plan to be using him to farm alot. Aside from that, I'd love to know what order you think would be better to take the powers in for doing that lower level content.
  3. Thanks for pointing all that out. I'm made some updates, I've swapped out the Atomic Blast enhancements for the whole set of Superior Blaster's Wrath. I've removed Repulsion Field and replaced it with tactics with to hit buff, now have 3 more enhancement slots. I was thinking of throwing them in Time Shift and getting the 2 piece bonus for both UG + GA by taking Resist on both. and I found that enhancement to change knockback to knockdown that skill. When I swap a proc in Irradiate, Mids tells me that the accuracy doesn't change. It just sits at 82.5%, so I don't know if that means it's capped or if it's just not showing correctly. I've updated the build here. Major Atom Endgame - Blaster (Radiation Blast - Temporal Manipulation).mbd
  4. Sorry, but what ATO Procs? I'm not familiar with that term? So you're saying that you can use some powers while mezzed? I don't see that anywhere in the discription of the powers. I thought that using personal force field for the bonus it provides even when not on would be a good place as It probably won't be used much in normal play. What would you suggest I slot into Repulsion Field. I've never used it before, so I'm not sure what it's actual ingame use looks like. So in your opinion, what do you think about Force bomb. I was planning on using it as a 1-2 hit with Neutron bomb as they both look to do the same thing as a targetted AoE. I've made the suggested changes (I think) And I've added an additional rez debuff to Irradiate, not sure if doubling them up is worth losing the extra damage proc chance. 5. So I put together a blaster with some powers that fit the theme of the character I made. He's a Radiation blast/ Temporal Manipulation blaster. I was looking around the forums, and youtube and couldn't find much in the way of topics/ discussion on this build, and specifically on Temporal Manipulation. As I wanted to try this combo out, I figured I would put something together and see what opinions are out there. So, let me know what you think and any suggestions are welcome. I think that I've gotten a good mix of defenses and resists. As I'm not really playing this toon from level 1, I probably don't think I'll ever need/ use Time Wall. 6. Thanks for the reply. This is what he currently looks like. I've pretty much gotten him all slotted up and have to say, he's great grouping. I can't solo AVs, or some Elite bosses, but as most of the time I'm grouping up farming, or doing activities, it's not really that big a deal. File removed as it was the wrong one. The current build is still listed above.
  7. Thanks for the great replies all. As it turns out, I didn't really understand the difference between a fire farmer tank and an actual tank. After doing a bit more research and some figuring, I decided to go with an all around tank first. Simply because I'm going to need to do some things outside of farming if I want to get him in order to be useful elsewhere. I've attached the build I'm working towards, and currently have 28 slots left to fill, my Alpha at rank 2, and my Destiny at rank 1. I'm looking at ~20 million per enhancement going forward, but as I focused on the cheaper enhancements first, it looks like my defences are pretty solid. Capped resist to Smash, Lethal, Fire, 79.25% to Energy and Neg, 41% to Cold and small amounts to Psionic and Toxic. My Defences are 22 Ranged, 37 melee, 31 AoE, 30 Smashing, 30 lethal, 31.5 fire and cold, 22 energy, neg, Psionic and Toxic. I've got 9 Knockback protection (so far) and 13 for the other status protections. My kill speed is still pretty slow as most of my attacks are unslotted, so that will pick up, and in farms at least, I miss way to much, so I'm hoping furthering the incarnates will help with that. Aside from the above, I'm really enjoying him and how... well... TANKY he is. He can definitely take a beating, which I guess is his job. My major issue, which I'm also hoping will be helped with higher/ more incarnates is End issues and cooldowns on my heal. Either I get hit less, or my heal needs to be up more often... working on both as I go. Anyway, thanks for all the input and advise. I learned alot. If anyone has any questions about the build, feel free to ask.Rasalom Fire - Dark Tank.mbd
  8. So what would a rebuilt tank look like from a full build look? Please keep in mind I have zero idea how to tank.
  9. I currently have the Chance for - Res slotted in my Blazing aura does slotting it here make more sense? Why are Soul Drain and Dark consumption not viable AoEs?
  10. Here's my current proposed build. I'd love some input. I've never done a tank, so I don't know how to build them to not suck. Rasalom Tanker (Fiery Aura - Dark Melee).mbd
  11. I'm looking at building a fire farm tank, and I'm thinking of Fire Aura/ Dark Melee as it seems that Dark has some sustain built in and has some AoE to help with the farming. I'm not married to either, just want something that works well and can get up and running quickly. I'd love for some input on what powers/ slotting to take early, what pool powers to pick up. I don't really plan on doing anything other then using this dude for farming, so I'm not sure how much that would play into the choices. If anyone has a template build that works for this early game, (with cheap enhancements) that would be amazing. I'd love it if there were any reasons for the choices. Any advise would be helpful while I wade through the forums.
  12. So, update #1. I finally hit 50 yesterday, and over the past few days (since I hit lvl 47) I've been working on getting my enhancements together. I've decided to go with @Auroxis build for the most part. I skipped resurrect and took Tactics instead as whenever I group and someone dies, they either already have a self rez, or they just release and run back, so I've not actually used it. I'm also looking at swapping my Alpha to Spiritual instead of Vigor. It seems like the added recharge will be better over all then the plus to healing as more recharge mean faster buffs on more people and more uptime on the End/ HP buffs for the whole team. Status so far. Spent over 100 million and got All my Empathy slots filled with the desired set enhancements (with the exception of Heal Other. I'm using Doctored Wounds until I can get another set of Panacea for it. I've gotten all the other random slots filled and only need 19 more enhancements (almost all in attacks) to complete the build. So now the question is what's the best path for Incarnate? As I said above, I'm thinking of going Spiritual, Clarion, Radioactive (as all my Radiation attacks already bypass some def so the damage resist debuff seems good), Lore (I have no idea), Void (to combo with Atomic Blast), and lastly support. Would appreciate any advice on my choices and the thinking behind the advise. I don't want to screw these up, but so far I'm enjoying the build. Soloing missions is very doable, and much easier with some of the new enhancements. Hoping it gets easier once I have more of my damaging powers slotted correctly. I've been having no issues with being the only defender in War Zone Raids/ Task Forces/ farming groups.
  13. So just about to hit 46, and I'm starting to look at getting some of the level 50 set IOs. Is there any specific order I should start getting them, or priority ones? What's the best bang for the buck? Should I respec into a level 50 build with the slotting I can get or should I wait? Will it improve my character right away? My initial thoughts looking at everything so far would be to respec, and focus on the set pieces that improve my global cool down so my buffs are up more often and try to get perma hasten as a priority.
  14. Also, I just hit 45, so I'm wondering if people have some activities I should be working on as I level up (as opposed to just focusing on leveling)? Like what should I be doing to be more ready to hit the ground running at 50? Also, I have no knowledge of the incarnate system (I'm just looking into it now) or the Accolades and how to get them, or the pets you can get somehow that help you fight? I'm assuming that there are story arcs in game that will explain all this when I get there, but as this is my first toon after the shut down, I'm not sure.
  15. I was going to ask where you get the set/ unique IOs mentioned... so I'm guessing from the merit vendor. Looking at the builds above, I'm assuming it's a long term investment to get there, but instead of trying to work on two builds, I'd probably just want to work on a single one with slotting whatever I can get at the time, and replacing the normal IOs with the set/ uniques ones as I aquire them. I'm assuming of course that the set IOs are individually better then the normal IOs I'll be using up until lvl 50. If not, I can always wait until I have the whole set for the bonus before I make the swap. I'm not sure exactly how the character should play at 50, so trying to figure out how to play him two different ways seems like a bit much TBH.
