    The Big Question of Continuity

    All my characters went to Millennium City for one reason or another. 

     

    One of my Villains got an early release in exchange for community service.  She registered as a hero with the FBSA and was stationed there.

     

    My main Hero had been killed off and his protege took his name.  Not thinking he could live under the shadow of his predecessor, he "returned" to his hometown of Millennium City.  I had really intended to kill off main in an RP somewhere with the intention of re-rolling a Praetorian version of my character to take over.  I don't know whose idea it was to do this with Tyrant and Statesman but I had thought of it first! :D And had even made the Praetorian character and everything!  Think I was level 18 before the game went down. 

     

    A few of my other characters would occasionally cameo in Millennium City.  Alluding to the Coming Storm having came and went.  It having something to do with my main Hero's death.  All of my alts trying to urge my character to return to Paragon to help with it's reconstruction and see all his friends.

     

    I've always thought CO and CoH sharing some continuity made a kind of sense.  Even if it doesn't really.

    I remember the dev tracker from the original forums!  That use to be my go-to!  I hope to see something like that eventually added here.  Thanks for reminding me PH!

    Can we lift the name restrictions already?

    If people are worried about names that are stuck on alts that people aren't playing, or people preserving names, the PTB could just wipe the server of unused characters to free up names like the Devs use to.  Same guidelines.  Accounts that have been inactive for X amount of time.  (Years, not months or so.  If we EVER get to that point.) 

     

    There is also the possibility of more shards opening up where the name you want isn't registered.

     

    These are just alternatives in case everyone is a stickler for One Name Per Server rule. 

     

    Personally, I don't mind linking the names to the global and allowing people to share similar names.  I can't recall ever running into someone with the same name on Champions.  Not even the names of my alts.  And I have some pretty unoriginal names.

     

    I should mention that the reason why I'm for name sharing is because we have fewer servers than we did when the game was under the rule of NCSoft, so there is a statistical likelihood of people missing their names.

     

    Hopefully that'll change as time goes on.

    Not Sure If Bug: Day Jobs in Praetoria don't always work

    So, I started a Praetorian character this morning.  As the servers were starting to come down, I went to log at the Cole Transit Authority and noticed I was not flagged for the Commuter Day Job.  At first, I thought I wasn't standing in the right place, so I moved around to see if I was doing something wrong.  I also tried traveling to the other CTA stations.  Nothing.  I asked the Help Channel and they thought I was talking about the Rail Rider badge.  Easy enough mistake.  Didn't have time to really clarify. 

     

    I did check the hospitals.  I was flagged for the Caregiver badge.  So Praetoria does reward Day Jobs.  When I checked the ParagonWiki, it seemed to only confirm that Day Jobs were only for Paragon and the Isles.  But it didn't confirm that they were exclusively for those types of zones. 

     

    Might need to be checked out!

    So, those of an Evil alignment should not play their characters as if they had an Evil alignment?

     

    The very concept is baffiling.

     

    What I find baffling is if we're going to accept Villains will Killsteal and Heroes will not, where does that put those of us who are in the Shades of Grey alignment?  Honestly, you can always trust dishonest people to be dishonest.  It's the honest ones you ought to watch out for.

    Sounds like a neat challenge.

     

    When you say only once, what happens if for whatever reason you're unable to complete a TF?

     

    I wouldn't beat yourself up about it if there is a server error or player error.  Personally, I'd just count the completed one as having only run it once.

    Fire/Fire Sentinel

    Started a fire/fire sentinel and it’s great!  It’s exactly what I conceptualized.  I kept wanting a tank or a blaster fire/fire for this character but this fits much better.  With flying powers she seems unstoppable.  I know ranged powers are larger in terms of damage for players but is that true for NPCs?  It’s neat to fly up and put down the hurt while they run around confused.
