    Have to say, when I came back to the game after a few month's break and saw they had added Storm Blast, this post inspired me to make a Storm/Ninjitsu sentinel (who is plenty fun). Based on her, I am now trying out a Storm/Atomic blaster and loving it. Still, I wonder how much fun Storm/Ninjitsu is on a blaster.

     

    I made Storm/Martial Combat and very fun.......

While early-on it's more of a single target set, overcharge is a brilliant, quick-charging ranged nuke, Piercing Beam is effectively a decent single target with -res that just happens to hit a 2nd or 3rd enemy when fired into packs, and at higher difficulties/parties, disintegrate will spread as you shoot into the fray, causing DoTs and bonus effects as time goes.

    A bit of -regen is always nice, and the whole set just plays well.

  3. Thinking making a blaster with martial combat but dunno what primary to take at the moment. can someone help. this is the build i might go with (provided by a friend)

  4. I think maybe a snipe set could have a partial taunt function (with 70 range, 30 taunt). where you range is increased and if your sniping you have a chance to get the targets attention.

    same here, i have on scrapper and haven't built another. 80% my characters are all blasters and doms

    A summary of my changes and reasoning:

     

    -Swapped Agility for Cardiac because the resistance and endurance reduction will be more useful here

    -Added in Temperature Protection for some extra survival and slow protection, but had to drop Evasive Maneuvers for it

    -Dropped/swapped some defensive IO set bonuses (like Opportunity Strikes is now 5 slots instead of 6) because Fiery Aura has no native defense and no protection against defense debuffs

    -Swapped Dual Wield for Pistols because the latter has higher damage-per-animation

    -Swapped Eradication for Apocalypse like you planned to do later

    -Swapped power order around a bit to flow a bit better

    -Swapped slotting of Healing Flames and Cauterizing Blaze because the full set has a much greater impact in the former power because it has higher values

    -Added the Miracle and Numina procs to Health for more recovery

    -Added Kismet To-Hit to more consistently hit enemies 

    -Boosted various IOs to +5 for more power

    -Enabled the passive health and endurance accolades

    -A bunch of other rearrangements that I don't remember

     

    I agree, slotting for sentinels can be slight tricky but once its level can be good
