[Volume Won't Change (much)-help!]

okay great, thanks for the help. 

 

I did save the options to a file, but didn't do anything with it later.

 

I didn't see a teeny tiny little X, but that might be because I was looking for a bigger X.  I'll look again 🙂

 

ANd yeah, System Mixer -- after I posted this, I remembered that I could do that.  Fixed me right up 🙂

[Volume Won't Change (much)-help!]

CoH is really loud on my system!  Really loud.  I'm talking with my friends on Discord at a reasonable volume, but when I get into CoH the game is REALLY loud. 

 

I would like to play CoH with those friends on Discord.  So I must have my system volume up high enough to hear them.

 

I can turn the CoH game volume down with the options, but when I do so there's no way of saving those changes.  The only button that makes the Options window go away is "Cancel Changes," and that makes the volume go back to where it was.  

 

I can back out to the main CoH login screen and change the volume setting there, but the same thing happens -- there's no way to save the changes.  And there's no way of making the Options box go away without clicking "Cancel Changes."

yeah okay so I'm an idiot ... what in the eff made me think I had to log in with an email address?  

 

I just need the bit in FRONT of the @ sign 🤦‍♂️  😄

Somehow my saved address I use to log in got wiped.  OK, so I go to type it in again, but when I type the @ sign, I get a beep and no @ sign types.  Same for the period.  

 

How am I gonna type an email address without an @ sign or a period?!

 

I've restarted, reverified the game's files, tried several different CoH forks, including the Safe Mode ones (presented when you start tequila), and I get the same thing every time.  I also tried putting my email address on the system Clipboard, then pasting it in.  I got a truncated email address with no symbols in it.  Just the letters.

 

I can type my email address just fine, in other programs.  CoH rejects the @ sign though.  I don't get it.

 

Oh, and my Caps Lock key wasn't on.  I checked 😛 

 

Any ideas on how to fix this?  I'm out of them.

I'm having trouble logging in as well - my issue is slightly different though.
