In the new pool power-set, the "Speed of Sound" power grants the jaunt ability. This is a wonderfully fun power and because of the animation, normally only stops movement for a short burst. This creates a faster method to travel, with limited use and greater end cost. However, if you have the shield powerset, and have any of them activated, the jaunt animation switches. The new animation is about 3-6x longer. This causes it to be be at best, the same speed as running, at worst, slower at higher run speeds. In general, this just feels really clunky for a super-speed type power, to just stop running for almost an entire second.
