  1.

Dude. Message me in game on excelsior anytime, and mention this thread, and you can roll in teams I make for 1, 2 or 10 missions. Hell, I'll even let you afk in a farm map while I earn inf.

None of us should be stuck soloing if we want to team, and if all you can handle is one mission,

Let's do one damned mission together!

Agree 100%. I think you will find that most pickup teams are absolutely OK with you joining for a mission or two. Heck, most will invite you back if they have room once you log back on. I've been in PUG's that have a 50% roster change between every mission. It's a very casual atmosphere in 99% of the teams I join. So feel free to come and go as you want. Its all good, remove that expectation that you may disappoint people and just have some fun!

  2. I too just did this and was convinced it was bugged. She is there, on the floor in front of a communication console. I believe this is on the floor above the locked door. I literally ran over every square inch of the place looking for the key. I noticed that the console was clickable, although it wouldn't let me interact with it. It was only then I noticed her on the ground near it. Once you interact with her, the console becomes usable and the door will be unlocked, I did not get the usual "You found a key" message though.

    Good luck!

  3. Short answer:

I find Brutes excel when solo, Tanks excel in groups/teams.

I have used my Brute in groups and have soloed with my Tank, so its all possible.

You have to have a team that understands your Brute may drop some agro and have patience with your slower DPS as  a Tank when solo.

  4. I filed a ticket and received a response pretty quickly. They're aware of the problem, will reset the servers today, and have hardware changes lined up that they anticipate will solve the issue.

  5. I think the fact that you are given 100% control in character creation, from their look, how they travel, and their power set has A LOT to do with it. Two Fire/Fire Blasters, while on the surface should be the same can look different, one may fly while the other has super speed and their power set may diverge 100 different ways through secondary and Epic power set selection and how enhancements are used. Each character becomes the players creation, their work of art, their hero or villain. For me, that has always been the difference  between Cox and all the other games out there.

  6. I'm a bit confused...

So I did the cape mission, jumped up and down on the exploration badge marker in the memorial with no badge awarded.

So where exactly are we going for the 1st one?

Have to forgive me, my brain is 6 years older now and not as quick on the pick-up.

  7. First off, awesome post Healix!

You touched on this with the "Fix" macro, but could you (or anyone with the knowledge) post how to create the button macros for the action bar? I had many of these back in the day, but have forgotten how the basic format worked.

  8. I had already posted this in a earlier post, but here's an abbreviated repost here.

First of all, many thanks to the people putting this all together. The past few days have been truly special because of you.

I started playing pre-release and didn't stop until the close. My son started playing with me when he was 9. He has since gone to college, graduated, attended the Police Academy and now works as a Sheriff's Deputy (Hell yeah, I'm proud). We still see each other every other Friday (our work schedules are completely opposite), usually for dinner and some talk time.

This past Friday we sat at his kitchen table and played CoH for 6 hours. It was grand and glorious, not unlike stepping into a time machine. We laughed and played our asses off.

    Just like the old times...

Think we'll do it again soon, thanks to you guys. Like a lot of others have said, it was and is more than a game. It's friends, family and the community.

  9. Hate to clutter up the boards with more of the same type post that many others have already made, but I really wanted to get this out of my head and heart.

Second, I just want to put it out there that like many of you I have very mixed feelings re: SCORE and the secret server. While Leo is getting a lot of the heat, I think we would all probably recognize the names of many of the players that got to share the "secret server". Hell, I'm sure some of the members of one of the super groups I was in made it. They were too big in the community not to have.

Gut punched, sums it up pretty well.

Most importantly, I want to share this. I started playing pre-release and didn't stop until the close. My son started playing with me when he was 9. He has since gone to college, graduated, attended the Police Academy and now works as a Sheriff's Deputy (Hell yeah, I'm proud).
