IronFeather Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 I am trying to help a friend get up and running on this Game and have at least two more people I will be helping get started. This same issue happened with the first install on this system, so I deleted everything, erased the tequila registry, then did a clean install of the client, then the game. I was able to launch and create a character. However, after issues with apparent lag and dropped NPC conversations in the Outbreak Tutorial, I crashed and this issue returned. The Manifest verifies properly each time, but when I run now, it states that "the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found" and then that in the same way VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. It states reinstalling may fix this solution, but I already did that. I then did further digging; these are not files that are included in the install of the game. They are critical windows files. So I thought they might be corrupt or missing and I did a system scan. The system doesn't detect any errors. Perhaps there is something I am not aware of. Has anyone else had this specific issue? Is it a problem with the launcher? I have gone through multiple troubleshooting walkthroughs and haven't found any references to a similar issue. Any advice, tips, or suggestions would be welcome. I hesitate to do another install unless someone can explain why the game would function, then not function. As far as I can tell, everything matches a different install I have done of the game that functions. Both systems are running on Window's 10. The setups are very similar, so the issue with this system is mystifying.
JadeFalcon Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Probably the best thing to do is reinstall Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
IronFeather Posted October 16, 2019 Author Posted October 16, 2019 Solved. Thank you. In retrospect, all things seem obvious... but the infoglut can be difficult to navigate sometimes.
