Upon reaching 50, if you exemplar down with XP on and Double Influence While Exemplared turned on, patrol XP appears to provide a boost to the influence gained (presumably due to the conversion from EXP), but is not itself used up, meaning even a sliver of patrol XP will grant the bonus forever.  It seems like the intent would be for the patrol XP to be used up in providing the extra EXP that's converted to Inf.  This behavior is suspected to be an interaction between Veteran Level code and Level 50 XP mechanics that would not have occurred on Live.

Reproduction steps:

Take a level 50 character with no patrol EXP, set difficulty to +4, and enter an AE mission clamped to level 53 (such as arc 2915, $Comic Con Fire Farm$).  This will exemplar you to level 49.

Kill an enemy and note the Inf gained.  A boss should give around 85-90k.

Exit the mission, and log out briefly.  A couple minutes should be enough.

Log back in, verifying that you have patrol EXP.  Record your Patrol XP total, and re-enter the mission.

Kill an enemy and note the Inf gained.  A boss should give around 115k.

Note your current patrol XP total, which has not gone down.

(If desired) Finish the mission, noting that you get the extra Inf from all mobs, despite having only a small amount of Patrol XP.
