Chuckledunk
Hello! All my characters are on Everlasting. Exajoule Tough Little Boxing Robot Tech Super Strength / Electric Armor Tanker Hero RAMANET Exajoule is a creatorless AI born from the primal ooze of the increasingly complex internet. She was first quarantined as a possible ultravirus, but later earned the sympathy and trust of the government officials handling her. Granted conditional freedom, she was outfitted with an old (and long since upgraded beyond recognition) ATOM-XJ9 boxing robot for a body and allowed the chance to prove herself as a contributing member of society. She soon got embroiled in the ongoing conflict with the Clockwork, and her career as a hero has grown from there to encompass fighting all sorts of primarily tech-related crime. She has gone on to found the Robot, Android, and Machine Awareness Network, or RAMANET for short, an organization for sentient & pseudo-sentient robots from varying walks of life. With the aid of the friends she's found and the friends she's built, she's trying to fight the negative stigma around robots that groups such as the Clockwork and Nemesis instill in the wider public. Chuckledunk
XC-4 "Excee" "Rehabilitated" Murderbot Tech Beam Rifle / Devices Blaster Vigilante RAMANET An experimental Arachnos robot incorporating stolen 5th Column / Council technology, a programming error led to XC-4 going rogue mid-mission as it struggled with its own emerging sentience. Intervention by the heroes of RAMANET led to the rogue robot being talked down from its rampage and being brought in for rehabilitation. Although having to struggle against her hard-coded predilection for wanton violence at times, Excee genuinely wants to be a good artificial person and tries to channel those urges to benign ends. The gravelly, autotuned synthetic voice she has does a poor job of conveying her typically eager and upbeat personality, and it's clear her designers weren't intending her to come out as bubbly as she did. Chuckledunk
Cathode Janissary Mark 9 "CJ-9" Idealistic Police Officer Tech Energy Blast / Energy Manipulation Blaster Hero RAMANET Formerly a police enforcement unit from Praetoria, it defected when the injustices inherent in it's own society became impossible to overlook any longer. It was one of a line of prototypes exploring modifications to the basic Praetorian clockwork frame. Cathode Janissary Mark 9 features upgrades to the right arm to allow massive amounts of power to be channeled from its upgraded core reactor. This same reactor powers the jump jets in the legs, which when combined with the maneuvering fins allow for a great degree of aerial maneuverability. The head has also been redesigned from the ground up, and includes "smart" problem solving & behavioral heuristics so advanced you would think it was actually as alive as any human. An LCD visage and a voice capable of subtle inflections allow it to convey a range of simulated emotions and attitudes, all with a synthetic twang. She normally goes by CJ. More than any other individual member of RAMANET, she helps keep Excee under control. CJ has established a good working relationship with the PPD and enjoys deputy status, finding them to be nowhere near as corrupt as Praetorian cops. Chuckledunk
Sheska Unwholesome Sewer Monster Mutation Spines / Regeneration Scrapper Villain The Coalition for the Utilization of Nefarious Talents The thing that responds to "Sheska" was one of the homeless of the Rogue Isles at one point, and though not one of the infected succumbed to mutation anyway. In her case, these mutations included not only mutable flesh that easily twists wounds shut and curls into piercing talons, but also a severe regression of mental capabilities that left her as barely more than a feral animal, one driven by simple urges—most frequently anger or sadistic delight. Some days she shows more signs of mental recovery than others, and though her lucid periods are getting stronger and more frequent, the personality surfacing is a vicious one with no memory of the life that came before. The more agitated she gets, the more unstable and grotesque her form becomes. Don't sleep in garbage, don't try to get the last few drops of superadine or rage out of that needle you found on the street, and don't play with funny metal glowsticks you find in hazmat containers, and you won't end up like Sheska. Chuckledunk
Captain Sewage "I'm the hero Paragon City needs, just... not the one I want to be right now." Mutation Water Blast / Bio Armor Sentinel Hero Unaffiliated When his story began, mild-mannered Dewey "Deuce" Crapparson worked as a sewage engineer—which, as any hero would tell you, is a dangerous occupation in this city. Sure enough, during a routine bit of hiding in a septic tank during yet another Lost incursion, he got doused with a flush from Crey facilities. Beyond merely being disgusting, this flush in particular was from a cornered conspirator flushing illegal, experimental chemical agents. This in turn imbued Deuce with powers he really would have preferred not to have. Despite his protests and insistence that he would really like to just go back to work, everyone around him was so dead-set on being supportive about the whole thing that he felt like he had no choice but to at least give a try at being a hero. Now, he uses his control of human excrement for the good of all! When the s#!t hits the fan, Cap'n Sewage is your man. Chuckledunk
Xhon Gleefully Murderous Fire Demon Magic Fiery Melee / Fiery Aura Brute Villain Children of the Abyss A war demon, Xhon commands hellfire to great effect in combat. With no real alliegance to any mortal interests, her presence typically heralds chaos and arson. It's unclear if the crimes she commits have any pattern beyond inflicting random suffering and terror. She is known to be able to shapeshift to an extent, blending in with humans as it suits her.
