Big sword brute build request

Hi! My wife and I are part of the recent influx of returning/new players and we're a bit overwhelmed by the choices for builds!  I'll figure something out for my own, but I need help for my wife.  She is a fiery redhead that really want to wield an over size sword. 

 

From my limited knowledge I thought a brute with titan weapon/bio or rad. Looking for good survivability, AoE, decent single target...basically she wants it all!  We're open to suggestions and pretty much newbs so any step by step build would be great to get her rolling. Thanks!
