Auction House (/ah) Not Refunding

I noticed that if I make a bid at the Auction House it takes the currency out of my account right away (which makes total sense) however if I cancel the bid, it hasn't refunded the currency back.

 

This became really obvious when I bid around 500k from an account with 1 million influence. After a few days, I wanted to cancel the bid and make a higher bid to increase my chances of getting it. At the end of it, I was left with about 30k and not the (approx) 530K I should have had.
