Ranged focused Brute: Is it possible, effective, or just crazy?

--How is the damage?  I lean towards Brutes for their fury scaling damage, my scrappers seem...less by comparison.

The damage will be decent due to the scrappers Crit procs, which are fun when you get that burst. Brutes generate fury when attacking and being attacked, so if your idea is not to be attacked within range, I would go with Scrapper. Someone can correct me, but Brutes Fury generates while being attacked as well as attacking. Not sure how much fury is generated by attacking alone. Something to explore. Brutes are tougher, so there is also that to take into consideration as well if you are soloing only.
