Vedic70 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago As a newly minted first level 50 CoH character (Necro/Dark/Soul Mastery) I was wondering what I should pick for a Core Incarnate ability. Currently I just debuff, hold and immobilize the hell out of everything with my Dark and Soul Mastery while my minions tear everything up (with a little bit of support from Dark Blast and Arcane Bolt from me). I also heal whenever anything is wounded with a fully slotted Touch of the Nictus Twilight Grasp. Now that I've hit level 50 I'm taking a look at incarnate cores and trying to decide on one. So far, my thinking on the ones that stand out are: Agility: This seems like a good one for everyone who doesn't cap out Defense and Recharge. However, I've been mainly using ToHit Debuffs to not be hit, resistance for when I am and healing to recover a huge swath of my health after. I'm also not recharge intensive and have no lack of buttons to push. Intuition: I would get full effect from everything this does and it plays nicely into my playstyle. It fits a more group oriented playstyle as well I think. Musculature: More damage, to hit Debuffs and End Mod seems pretty good but my damage outside of my pets is pretty anemic (with the one exception being a procced Arcane Bolt) so I pretty much rely on my minions to take things down. I think I would drop things faster with Musculature than Intuition but Intuition has more group utility. Spiritual: Spiritual would increase my healing and recharge but I'm not recharge intensive and my Twilight Grasp heal is really good as is. It would be good if I were primarily healing but I think debuffing (with Dark) and controlling (with Soul Mastery) is a better fit. Is there anything I'm overlooking? How have been your experiences?

Assuming you mean the "Alpha Slot Ability"... for that character I'd strongly recommend either Intuition Radial or Musculature Radial. Both increase your powers' Damage (including your henchmen) and ToHit debuffs. Intuition also increases Range and Slows (Tar Patch) and Hold Duration (Petrifying Gaze, Soul Storm)... Whilst Musculature increases Recovery and Runspeed and Immobilize Duration (Soul Tentacles). If your current Tar Patch slotting isn't already flooring the Movement Speed of +3 foes (e.g. a -138.5% debuff) then I'd go for Intuition. Otherwise it's a toss up. 1
