Help update this Electric/Shield build?

So I finally got around to trying an old Electric/Shield build that I found....years ago.  I don't remember specifics but at the time (again, years ago) Electric/Shield was considered a very effective pairing.  Loaded it up on Brainstorm and ran it through a few missions at base settings to get a feel for it.  Obviously it worked fine, but when I ramped it up to just +2x4 it began having issues.  Anyone have any current...ish builds that will enable this pairing to handle higher difficulty settings?  Most of the builds I found on the forums are years old as well.  Is it even still a thing?  Thanks in advance for any and all comments and/or advice.

This might not be the advice you are looking for... but IMO is way better on a Stalker because Shield Charge and Lightning Rod are basically pseudo pets IIRC they dont crit.. but on a Stalker, they dont break hide... which is super awesome.
