Faraday Gauss Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I'm sure it's been suggested before, probably multiple times, but I'd love some magnetism-themed sets. alloygray25 posted some suggestions back in 2019 that seemed pretty awesome for a blast set and an armor set. Magnets are cool in principle, but not only that, they have flexibility as a concept - could be a natural or mutant ability, or could be the product of science or technology. Also there's a lot of assets already in the game that suggest magnetic powers, which could possibly make development easier. 1
CoeruleumBlue Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago They're not getting sued over this. I asked them to proliferate Propel and Hurl into an ancillary pool or possibly an epic pool but preferably an ancillary since it'd line up better with the attacks in ancillary pools than epic ones and there aren't specific passives that'd go with it thematically. For now there's Gravity Control and you can make your armor sets magnetism-themed. I also asked for a psionic dodge armor set but that's pointless when we already have Ninjutsu and also Super Reflexes and also Stone Armor is a defense-based set if someone wants something that doesn't feel as weak against psionics (as well as toxic but that's not so relevant) as Super Reflexes might sometimes. You can say things are caused by different things in this game, we don't need a powerset for every kind of element or idea people can think of. I do hope they proliferate Propel and Hurl into an ancillary pool though and also make Hurl so you can throw things besides boulders, then you could just use Seismic Blast or Electric Blast as a magnetism blast set in my opinion, and use pretty much whatever makes the slightest amount of sense as a magnetism armor set. So probably they just need to proliferate Propel and Hurl and make Hurl so you can hurl things besides a rock and then you can thematically have your magnetism characters and no one will get sued, and I can make more blasters and feel happy with the fact all the natural and unnatural disasters they cause can also throw debris at people. <But life is change, that is how it differs from the rocks, change is its very nature.> — John Wyndham
