I think we'd need two things:

    1. A revamped donation system that recognizes donors in some way in the forums (optional forum titles, special font/color/style on forum names depending on donation tiers, limited-time rewards) and in-game(no p2w or content gating though).

    2. Staff getting paid if possible, to help keep some of the amazing members of the team.

absolutely no rewards for donors, our reward is being able to play and know we can help out when we can.

  3. To remain transparent, free, and professional, No more knee jerk reactions like the removing titles from streamers because you can not endorse a streamer, a title for in game activities earned is not an endorsement of a streamer, promoting that streamer is.

New content is a must, whether it be new power sets, raids, story arcs, or archtypes and incarnate powers. No real money transactions, ever. Keep things to donations and no rewards for donating. Would love to sis sister solaris's costume available in our costume sets. that dress is just epic.

I'd also like to see yall work with me at sanitarium.fm and let us be an official news source for the homecoming servers posting news updates and teases of things to come and breaking news.

While I would be incredibly amused if the Leakening was a massive false-flag operation, Titan Network has not been negotiating for 6-7 years. Titan has been negotiating since April. Previous attempts were not Titan. It's not all connected.

i just know someone from titan network was in new negotiations a few years back that never lead anywhere.

Tons of people operate under that misunderstanding -- It was probably an unfortunate choice that that branch of "Project Phoenix" "Missing World's Media" chose to name their game "City of Titans" which, I imagine, was in homage to Titan Network where they originally organized via the chat boards.   But there's never been an actual connection between the organizations other than the fact that a lot of CoT people have chatted on Titan Network CoH boards at some point.

yeah i first heard of CoT on the titan networks chat, probably why i associated the two.

First, folks have really got to stop speculating on this from the perspective of what they supposedly know.  The honest truth is, we know nothing about what is being discussed.  We got people ready to bail, and take their friends with them on the mere mention of this, without even knowing what it really means.  They are free to do so, but it would seem a little premature based on what we know so far.  There are those that have projected the scenarios they see possible, based on this announcement.  But, there are very likely possibilities that we can't imagine, because we don't have enough information to do so.  To assume that one knows for fact what will happen at this juncture, is presumptuous at best.

I was there for all the "Task Force Hail Mary", and "New Efforts" scenarios at Titan.  I checked the site every day for years looking for something, so I was a bit concerned too.  However, the fact that they were even able to say that things were looking very positive in this case, is more than we ever heard about those previous rounds of talks; which were so secret, we couldn't even know when they failed.

I don't like the circumstances under which NCSoft closed down the game in 2012, and I was shocked to learn about the SCORE server that ran while I was pining away for the game.  But, what I don't do is hold grudges regardless of what has passed since then.  Life is too short.  So, I'll wait, and watch for more news, assuming good intent, until or unless I hear otherwise.

In the meantime, I shall play the game!

imagine if you would the secret server was all a long test server to show this could be done with out ncsoft spending a dime, has been part of the on going titan network negotiations for the last 6-7 years, and homecoming was the next step in the negotiations to see if this can be done without making ncsoft look bad. I'm not saying its all connected, but it very well could all be connected.

I would not have a problem with a subscription model. Anything else, particularly a model similar to Star Trek Online or Champions Online would be something I'm not on board with.

I doubt we will ever see a sub model, that defeats the purpose of homecoming registering as a nonprofit like the SWGEmu team did when they were given the okay to emulate preCU SWG.

    A. Player count is publicly available information.

    B. Server info is found out when sending the C&D letter, as already pointed out.

    C. What on God's green earth makes you think that information was ever on the table? Hell, we don't even know HOW the code got leaked, and I don't know that the HC admins have that information either.

And why bother?  Because it wastes a LOT less time.  A C&D is over in a matter of weeks, it's been months.  Why would NCSoft get information they could legally obtain through faster methods through a long and drawn out fake negotiation?  None of what you're saying makes any sense whatsoever.

nevermind the fact that homecoming was allowed to actually speak about the negotiatians, Titan network has been negotiating for years for this. Just more doom and gloom spread by the 4chan server and their tin foil hat god brain.

Quick note of clarification: The Titan Network and Homecoming are working together. I think you guys are thinking of City of Titans, which is the successor project. The Titan Network isn't affiliated with City of Titans. We're the Paragon Wiki folks, they're the folks who are working on a new game. 😉

City of Titans is not involved in this effort.

cool, i always thought for some reason City of Titans was a project by the titan network. Always been a fan of the work Titan Network has done for the community over the years.

Installed today, removed the original Pines that was posted here.

I unzipped the archives and ran the installer, chose the directory of my choice. Loads fine.

Whenever I actually do anything in the planner, it takes 3-5 seconds to update. For instance, changing from Blaster to scrapper. Clicking dynamic to go to level up. Chosing the first power. 15 seconds of waiting for that. Continues as I choose new powers and slots.

    Any idea what's up?

just curiuos does it do this after a fresh restart of your pc? Mine does this sometimes but typically fixes itself on a restart.

  11. well I have seen things I was converting and selling for 10 mil easy prior to this guide drop to only 3 to 4 mil now, I think the big wins on this method have dried up since more and more folks have caught on. Hoping we don't see massive inflation soon. I kinda like the cheaper prices on things atm. yeah i make less per sell now, but volume makes up for it and things are more affordable for everyone.

  12. For anyone in a similar situation, i rerolled BS/SD scrapper and it kicks butt.

Forgive my noobness, but what is it about scrapper that makes this combo perform better?

Brutes are meant to do low to medium damage and be more tanky than a scrapper, think of them like a halfway point between a scrapper and a tanker. They were the villians version of a tank back when they could only be a villian. Scrappers on the other hand are high damage out the gate as a DPS"class" and they get to do critical hits for extra damage. But they are not as tough, on paper at any rate. I have seen some brutes do insane damage and some scrappers be harder to kill than a tanker.

  13. While yes, that is a great idea, but the game wasn't programmed that way and it would take a great deal of code rewriting to change it.  It is not in the scope currently of what can currently can be done.  The policy isn't overboard and fairly reasonable considering the current situation of things.

How do you know? Are you a programmer or a Dev? Alot of things can be done these days with programming. The policy is fair in your opinion. To be honest I dislike it enough to consider leaving and I have heard some other people say the same thing already. I shouldn't have to be punished and have names stolen just because I am too busy to play a "login all my characters" game. That is just unfair.

I have done a fair amount of programming and game development, and depending on the code it could be a nightmare to implement or impossible.  I think the name policy is too lenient myself.  I have an insane amount of characters and it literally only takes 5 minutes to log them all in. this is more than fair. if you can't be bothered to do something so simple only once a month then that is on you and no one else.

Welcome to team all you new community reps!

  14. PvP only/unique accolades that give PvP oriented stat boosts would be awesome.  I can’t speak for everyone in the PvP community but I no longer have the time to be grinding PvE endlessly in order to keep my character competitive in PvP with things that require hours to complete such as task forces or killing a large amount of certain mobs to get.  Instead I’d love to be able to login and spend the few hours I do have per day or week doing what I enjoyed the most about CoH, which is the PvP.

i second this, back in the day before getting older working more etc i had the time. I played this game for years getting enough money and io sets and accolades. It a be impossible now. Id love a io vender for pvp, maybe only on the pvp server or something.

That vendor best be on all servers.
