The base normally uses a dark lighting setting, but for the costume contest, the base will use the same lighting that Atlas Park uses.

To everyone who came by the Talos Keys SG base tonight, thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoyed the music and socializing tonight. I do intend to schedule other social gatherings at this base again in the future, but I also plan on making other SG bases and hosting more interactive events as well.
This base will continue to be expanded upon and it's open for RP use for anyone and at any time. Passcode is "Lounge-1871"

ICly, yes, the restaurant has waitstaff. It's a 5-star dining experience!
There won't be any players to RP any, though. I'll add some notes to the original post to clarify some more IC details about the Talos Keys. Thank you for asking!

How does one locate a Supergroup base, if one was inclined to attend?
When you go to any supergroup base portal, one of the options is to "Enter Passcode". Select that, and you can enter any sg base that you have the code for. Codes are set by the supergroups.
For this base, the code is Lounge-1871

Hello fellow RPers! I'm @TheBizi and I built the above SG base to look like a classy restaurant and would like to share it with the larger RP community. I know a lot of us would like some alternatives to the Pocket D, and I hope to deliver on that with the Talos Keys Lounge. I would feel honored if the Everlasting RP community used this base on a regular basis, coming and going to socialize and to use the setting for your RP needs. I do plan on expanding the base to include a beach and additional boardwalk attractions!

I'll be hanging out in the base ICly as my character Firesong Seraph on June 8th, 8pm EST (0:00am UTC), and using the broadcast channel for her IC singing. I hope you join me, socialize with friends here, and enjoy the lyrics Firesong sings for you!

An advertisement catches your eye. It looks like a new restaurant and bar is opening along the Talos waterfront this weekend. The grand opening will feature live music.

What did you use for the white stripes on the floor?
You can actually see a boat in the background in the 4th screenshot! ;D
I do plan on adding more water details. For further immersion, my longterm goal is to make a boardwalk with additional shops or attractions, piers, and beach space.
As for the white stripes, I used a combination of fluorescent lights (because it's really dark without proper lighting) and the tintable alphabet letter I. I attach the fluorescent lights to the surface of the dance floor (the dance floor is a series of wooden desks), and then sink them down a bit into the floor. The letter is also sunk into the floor to create the stripes.

Finally, here are some notes about to ICly expect:
-There are waiters and waitresses at the Keys of Talos. It's meant to be a 5-star dining experience.
-The main specialty dishes are seafood, though their steaks are top quality as well. There are vegetarian and vegan options.
-Reservations are not necessary for the private party seating. However, if you would like to reserve the place for your own private RP events, message me in game @TheBizi and I can change the SG passcode to give you and your group privacy.
-Although there is no enforcement of a dresscode, we politely ask you wear your finer attire (or super costumes for heroes).
Finally, this base is meant to be openly used for RP by the community. You're welcome to use your imagination!

The Talos Keys Lounge and social bar is located along the Talos boardwalk. Come join us for an evening of fine dining, live music, and a beautiful view!
Live music, including dueling pianos, plus an open dance floor are our center attraction!
The bar on the second floor gives you a place to socialize while having a great view of the show below!
Seating on the second level gives you a vantage point to watch the music!
If you want a quieter dining experience, the second floor patio is a great place to enjoy your meal with the relaxing sound of the ocean waves!
I hope to make this a social RP space for the RP community. I think some players would appreciate an alternative to the Pocket D and I hope this base could provide that occasional alternative.

I'm disappointed to see the increased recharge time on corr/blaster snipes. As a current corruptor player that made a build with enough ToHit for insta-snipe, this change is actually going to mess up my rotation dramatically and likely lower my damage output. The fact that dominators can now have an easier time fitting it into their rotations is just salt in the wound.
My recommendation would be to keep the recharges at 12 seconds so people who have already built for insta-snipes aren't negatively effected. Since those with insta-snipe now will also gain the slow snipe, a suggestion to balance it would be to decrease the damage of the insta-snipe. Players who already have insta-snipe will still feel mostly the same with the same recharge, decreased damage in fast-snipes, but larger burst at the beginning of a fight with the slow-snipe to balance.
