Skipping repulsion I could see, if not for the kb to kd enhancement.  At least, if it works there.

I would skip repulsion. As cool as it is in concept, it makes SO MUCH FRIGGIN NOISE when it's active. I used to use it as a knockdown field for my melees, but then got so many noise complaints that I decided to get rid of it entirely.

No this was only for Devices not for Traps

I have to wonder... Why the hell not? The abilities are close to useless on other powersets as well. Why not buff them universally so they can be used in a team setting where Defenders are supposed to shine?

My problem with sonic as a primary for defenders is that there are too many skippable powers.

Clarity, repulsion, and cage. Everything else it worth taking. Leaves you more room for leadership powers and tough/weave.

    Here's something different.

    What you'll get:

    • Almost soft capped defense to ranged (44,4%)
    • Capped resistances to S/L and solid resistances to NegEnergy/Toxic. Note: you can pick any resistance shield you like - I went with Dark Embrace because I run a lot of ITFs (negative damage from nictus/dwarves/novas) and I absolutely hate toxic damage when fighting Devouring Earth. If you'd rather have great S/L defenses paired with ranged defenses, go with Scorpion Shield.
    • Quite a lot of procs that will provide very nice damage output, control AND even more -res (quite a lot more, when you use both Liquefy and Dreadful Wail - use Amplify before using them, to make sure you hit).

This is meant to be an active build. You should play it offensively - this means taking advantage of Howl + Shockwave as much as you can. For that reason, I picked Cardiac Alpha. Everything else is up to you.

I thought that with the way procs work that it's not worth putting them into AoE powers anymore? Isn't a low % chance and applies randomly to targets?
