  1. Hi all, looking for a bit of critiques/advice on build I'm working on for energy melee/energy aura stalker. Now before anyone says anything about it: YES I know the EM set isn't considered all that great anymore due to the live nerfs of the animation changes/crit changes of energy transfer and total focus. That being said I do believe this build could still be decent that I put together. Any advice or critiques are welcome. Ty in advance

  2. My build so far; got main defenses to 40%, main resists to 75% with focus on -to hit rather than fear. end drain is 1.29 but recov is 3.64. Let me know what ya'll think

  3. Definitely solid advice I was looking for thank you! I've noticed as well DM doesn't have much for AoE so I was considering focusing him as a single target style DPS to focus on the tougher enemies in mobs. I was also considering skipping shadow maul since it has such a long animation for the attack, and during that time I could pop off several attacks keeping my focus on single target instead.(opinions on skipping?) 

  4. I recently made my first stalker, and decided to go for a Dark melee/ Dark Aura combo, for the life of me though I cant figure out a decent build style set up for him and was wondering if anyone had one or at least had some advice on the matter? Cost of enhancements doesn't matter so any kind of build/advice would be most helpful whether its crazy expensive build or a more budgeted one.

    I played an Ice/Ice/Munitions blaster on live and for HC I remade the character as an Ice/Temp/Munitions so some of the advice I'm going to give will probably be outdated. With that disclaimer in mind here goes:

     

    1) Take Shiver. Seriously take it. It's such a good control power, especially now with crashless nukes. Ice Storm, Blizzard, and Shiver. No one is getting out.

     

    2) Six slot Freeze Ray and slot it as an attack. It's your highest DPA attack. Once you get enough recharge Freeze Ray -> Ice Bolt -> Bitter Ice Blast is your go to attack chain. Use Ice Blast as a finisher so you can keep your main attacks ready. 

     

    3) I'm not too wild about six slotting Build Up.

     

    4) I'd slot Blizzard with the Blaster's Wrath set instead of Overwhelming Force and put Overwhelming in Ice Storm instead. That way you'd get twice the KD.

     

    That's all I have off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll think of something later.

     

    5) I knew I'd think of something else. Take another hold. Whether it's Bitter Freeze Ray with it's super-long (but super-cool) animation or Freezing Touch (giving you another opportunity to slot Kinetic Combat). That way you can hold bosses.

    Doesn't the proc from Overwhelming force mean that: It turns knockdown/knockback into a chance for Knockdown? Putting it into ice storm with no kb/kd chance at all wouldn't help it would it? or am I reading that enhancement proc wrong? lol

     

    And with what you said about freeze ray I understand that, so if I were to remove the 6 slot Ice bolt that, would allow me to 6 slot Freeze ray as a Damage, and choose a hold melee power with 4 slots to put in for Kinetic.

  6. Been messing around with my ice/ice/ice build and would just like some general opinions/advice as to whether this build is good or could use some rough changes. I choose not to get hasten, but with the use of Luck's global rech, I'm able to get fairly fast recharge on my abilities. I also went with a slight single target hold style + damage. I also use build up+aim together which is why I go for similar recharge speeds on them.

  7. Did some toying around, as far as removing power bolt in order to allow for other powers to receive more slots, and lowered some melee slots down a bit as well. I did give build up and aim 6 slots, simply because i'll be using them in unison with each other so similar rech speeds are necessary, I'll also have Energize on Permanently to allow for cheaper end usage, also tossed on Scorpian shield and added an extra little AoE hold. this updated version actually gives me more def/survivability and doesn't lower my dps by much maybe 2.5%

  8. The levels that I chose the powers do not mean much, nor do they mean i'll be specifically selecting those powers at said levels. I simply grabbed each power that I knew I possibly wanted regardless of what "lv" designer was considering it to be taken at. In the game itself I'll be more strategic/smart with power selections at right levels

  9. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone maybe able to help/give advice for Energy/Energy Blaster, I've been playing around with Hero designer and messing with a rough possible build but would like advice as to whether or not its actually decent.
