Sounds like a pool of whales.
If not, I don't see the server lasting longer than a few months without a donation button.

Some hosts allow users to donate directly to paying for server costs, which would circumvent any sort of legal issues.
Regardless, they're being very paranoid. Unless you aren't charging players to play the game, donations are a legal gray area. (As shown by the countless Blizzard servers.)

Do not bother connecting to a server until all 4 are up. That means they fixed it.

So three different time I have tried to create a character but the game times you out and so much for that character.
Come on give us the time to create our characters.
Just save your character every 5 minutes.

Nah, people will transition over to get the shorter queue - even if it means rerolling.
Better to add that as a donation option.

I greatly prefer the queue-- where people that are still on and playing have way better server performance-- to everyone constantly mega-lagging and crashing off the server all the time. Ugh. I can't believe you even said that. Please quit trolling.
There was only lag in the first city. Lag and crashing haven't stopped.

Donations are fully legal to accept, just don't start charging people to play and they won't bat an eye.

I think it is a definite improvement over everyone constantly lagging out and crashing off the servers over and over.
The team did a great job on the server, but this ain't it chief. I would gladly go back to lag, (still crashes.)

I'm currently 1934 of 1948 in Queue on Torchbearer and that is awesome to a level it's hard to overstate.
Just wait til you crash after 5 minutes and start the queue over.

I got to share this game with my son, something I never thought I was going to be able to do.
"Daddy, why are we back in the 3 hour queue? I want to play!"
"Sorry son, server crashed again. For some reason they didn't ask for donations."

That'd be fine, if the server didn't crash as well. At least in Vanilla WoW, they had a queue protection system in place.
Vanilla WoW was also a professional business server set up, in which keeping the customers happy was paramount to remaining fiscally solvent with a brand new game.
This is a volunteer/fan effort to revive a game 6+ years gone.
I meant Vanilla WoW Private server. Paid for out of pocket by a decade old community.
They had a system setup so that if you get disconnected, you had 10 minutes to get back ingame and skip queue.
Without it, consider this server dead if people keep crashing.

Then go play something else then. Nobody's holding a gun to your head and demanding you stay.
Won't need to, I'm sure people will figure out ways of staying online 24/7.

You are trying to play an illegally operating game for free and complaining?
Staying quiet won't fix anything. They need to ask for donations and fix the population issue.
I'm perfectly happy to wait in line for even a moment back in Paragon City.

At least there's a couple of people that are desperate enough to wait 3 hours just to crash. Some people can't be that big of a fanboy.

NCSoft isn't the type to bother with games that don't net them at least a million a month.

Honestly, this looks like the end of the server forever.
No chance a lot of people will hang around when you bottleneck the server into only 1k people.
I doubt there's a single person that would choose 2+ hour queue over lag. Even the crashing wasn't as bad as this.
If the admins are listening: Remove the queue or get the queue below 500 - before it's too late.
