  1. I have this exact build. It's pretty awesome. At first it seemed that the scaled down attack powers would make it less appealing but over time , it all made sense. Being able to outlast Tanks and Brutes is also fun. Well Done!

Obviously it would depend on the execution. If it's the huge bodytype, Mike has short shaggy hair, only wears a tattered pair of purple trouses and the bio is in broken English and mentions radiation and anger then you'll get clubbed. If instead the costume is just a big green dude then that's not a problem. Trolls are in the game and they're big, green, strong and speak clumsily but they're not an issue. A character that is inspired by the Hulk and by super mutants from Fallout isn't inherently a problem either. It's all about how much they look like either.

No shirt , no shoes, tucked in not tattered pants, no bio - just named "Mike".

Too vague an example I believe, but I get the gist of what you are after. 😉

Nah, its not vague - its the entirety of this whole discussion - there are too many "gray" areas to get definitive unless there is a clear cut explanation of what is generic-able. If it were so, a lot of people would have to look at their accounts.

I see we  have people who prefer selfishness over protecting the game for everyone and want to rules-lawyer their "but I was .00001% different."

I'm out. Policy is what it is, don't like it, take it up with the dev team. I can guarantee you you're not getting your list of rules so you can get just as *close* to the line as you dare.

I'm all in favor of getting as close to the line as possible. Just don't move the line as you wish for whatever reason you deem fit

And *this* is why they don't put down a list of guidelines versus "use common sense." "But mine was only 98.5%! I was called Super-man, notice the dash, and used a different belt!"

copy as in 100% -  the rest is not in-game most likely for that purpose, but what is there can be used, so it should be removed to mitigate , right?

By the rules that HC has set down, it's objectively lacking creativity to try and create a 1:1 replica of Superman - and so forth.

Depends on the character in question. You can get 99% close if not 100% to, for example, most MCU outfits.

99% is now 100%? now THATS creative!

Someone else owns the legal rights to the character you're copying and the homecoming team does not.

It cant be a copy if it isn't exactly like it can it? If there are variations that make it not 100%, because it resembles closely another entity technically doesn't make it a copy, its an homage. There are parts in the game that are there yes, but overall, you have to improvise. So that "s" on superman's chest is only that -  an "s". So where's the infringement?  its your opinion.

  8. I guess I was a bit too broad in my statement about "original costumes" already being done. Let me put it this way then, you cannot make an original costume because there is no way to create one. you are limited by what is there, so you aren't being original. Chances are you are using what others have already used.

  9. I agree with this post. Where is the criteria for what is and isn't deserving to be generic? If a character has a name that bears no resemblance to the character created, should both name and costumes be given generic treatment? Furthermore, under the current criteria, should not all the costume pieces and colors be wiped from the creator as they  can be used for said violable creations. It just seems to me there is no proper oversight mainly opinion on what is and what isn't a violation. There are no original costumes. Everyone is using a costume that has been already done before.
