Known issues that will be corrected and don't need to be reported:

    • Existing characters using the new key bindings if they haven't previously loaded binds or customized the keys in question.
This is intended to only affect new characters. We are planning to do a database-side migration of existing characters to the Classic key profile during go-live to avoid this issue.
    • Resizing UI windows causing the camera to move and interrupt the resize.

The second bullet about resizing windows to be interupted also applies to dragging the slider on the right of the map

  2. Hey was just on Release Candidate 3 and noticed i had trouble changing window size and selecting map zoom with the mouse. I would get the double arrow at edge of window, but as soon as I tried to click and drag it would start rotating screen instead of dragging window border. Also when trying to click/drag slider on right of map to change zoom, it did the same thing. Would not let me zoom would instead start rotating view. Tried with 2 different characters and got same effect.

  3. Does use of City Modder disable the use of the old data folder method or does it work in parallel with the data folder? I create personal pop menus for my own use that I don't have any desire to publish publicly. Will I still be able to do that without officially publishing them and packaging them through City Modder?

  4. I thought this only affected generally 'offensive' toggles. Currently purely 'defensive' toggles do not drop when mezzed. I know some 'offensive' toggles have defensive components to them. So I understood those were going to get affected by this. But, I didnt think this had any affect on purely 'defensive' or 'survival' toggles. Am I understanding that correctly? If so, I think the overall benefit of having the 'offensive' toggles suspend for 5s tends to outweigh a little extra wait time compared to the ideal response time of manually restoring them. In the heat of battle I am watching a lot of different things and my response time to notice and restore the 'offensive' toggles is probably not ideal. So in a practical scenario the 5s suspension is probably little real loss of restoration time and quite possibly and improvement. But, if suspension is also going to affect all of my 'defensive' toggles that don't currently drop at all, then that seems like a significant net loss that I would not be in favor of.

With that said, I did copy a couple of toons over to beta and tried them out on different heavy mezzing group (e.g. Carnies, COT) and yes I like this change. Maybe not perfect, but way more convenient.

  5. Welcome back. Yes I too remember when I heard about Homecoming. One of those 'too good to be true' and then finding out it really was true feelings. It was a good day indeed 🙂

  6. Probably EM/EA Stalker for single target dps, and for AOE dps, Rad/Fire brute.

EM got a rework an issue or so back, and Rad/Fire brute mainly because those two power sets are AOE oriented and brutes get the benefit of fury damage buff and 800% damage cap.

I can solo +4x8 on my Thugs/Time Mastermind just fine, although I prefer +3x8 just for variety's sake, (I like seeing the occasional mob level bump and there isn't much difference between +3 and +4).  It all depends on your power sets and build.

Yep, same for me. Thugs/Time is my sturdiest. Between def cap, time's juncture, and perma Chrono, really really tough. I also have a Demon/Electric which is pretty tanky too. Tons of fun, but not quite up to 4/8.

Start investing in Hamidon Enhancements to really jam in all the IOs you can into your bots.

im not filling out mids because it takes too long to answer a question.  I took caltrops at level 30, because not much use before your assaultbot gets the level 32 upgrade.  aid other got lots of use, but not much at higher levels.  aid self is a waste and ill fix it somehow somewhere sometime.  maybe.  probably.  take maneuvers early

Drones:  acc/dmg hamisx2, blood mandate acc/dmg/end, exp. reinforcement: resist aura, call to arms: def aura, sudden accel KB2KD

    Prot bots: acc/dmg hamisx2, overwhelming force: kb2kd, 2 end/def hamis, 1 lotg 7.5%

Assault:  acc/dmg hamisx2, Mark of Supremacy: acc/dmg/end, Mark of Supremacy: resist aura, edict: def aura, sudden accel: kb2kd

Wish I had the room for the other resist aura but oh well

And the AoE def aura was not needed

What is power boost for? Just a short term defense boost, or does enhance Triage Beacon or Poison Trap?

  9. For pure 'unkillability' I would think Time/Water or Time/Energy would fit the bill. Between their knockdown, running Time's Juncture for melee to-hit/damage debufrs, IO sets to provide soft-capped ranged defense and enough recharge to achieve perma-Chrono Shift, Soul Mastery Epic for Dark Embrace resistances, and Power Boost for Farsight, Destiny Clarion for mez protection you would be pretty near unkillable. And equally, if not more important, a large portion of all the knockdowns/heals/buffs/debuffs/mezz protection also benefit your team members making them near unkillable as well.

If you want to sacrifice a little 'unkillability, for more damage, then Time/Fire would be my recommendation. You lose some damage mitigation since fire doesnt have the inherent knockback/down. But, with all of the other mitigation you probably wont miss it that much anyway. Could probably even throw a few knockdown procs in to the build and get the benefit of fires damage along with some knockdown mitigation too.

  10. You are stuck 😞 There is no window for other players pets.

I've been maining MMs since they became available on live.

The best healer for a MMs pets is the MM themselves because they have a window to select pets and pets tend to stay fairly close to them anyway. You would probably be better support if you play a AOE buffer where you can target your partner and buff him with shields which in most cases would give pets anywhere near him shields as well.

In my experience, best support for an MM is another MM both running leadership pools and using AOE heals. You get a couple MMs on a team together and they are extremely tough because their group buffs and heals all stack on top of each other.

  11. In general,  we all like to feel a sense of accomplishment. It feeds our need to feel a purpose in life. If you help someone achieve something, something that they actively participated in, they get a sense of accomplishment and appreciate your assistance. Its win/win. But, if you completely carry someone to the goal with little investment of their own, there is little to no sense of accomplishment and whatever 'high' they get will be short lived.  So if you give someone so much help with their toon that it gives them a free ride all the way to their ultimate build, there is a good chance they won't enjoy it for long. Combine that with a game that has a ceiling on difficulty, and there is little satisfaction in playing the toon they have or much opportunity for satisfaction from further growth. So not much reason to play any more.

So helping people is good, but don't over do it. If you help too much, you can rob people of that sense of accomplishment. Yomo's approach is the perfect example. 20 mil is a great booster, but not enough to alleviate the need to put in your own investment to build a toon. Hence, people appreciate his help and also get their own sense of accomplishment.

  12. Thanks Avernal. That still gives me the targeting reticle to select the goto location. My goal was to not use the mouse at all. Just press a single key and they come/stay to my location. But, similar to SmalltalkJava, I have not found a way to avoid the targeting reticle that forces me to click the mouse set the location. I mean /bind shift+lbutton "petcomall goto" works pretty well. It executes the goto and targeting reticle in one click. But, it still forces to take my focus off the fight for a second to shift+click the mouse to set the location at my feet.

You can kind of get this effect by binding a key to "petcomall Follow", but when you execute the Follow command, the pets pause attacking. Its like the AI is resetting or something and they just stand around for a couple seconds before they start fighting again. And in Follow mode they tend to scatter quite a bit. But, that 'AI reset' doesnt seem as severe if you use the GoTo command and target your feet. They run to the location and immediately start attacking, and they stay much closer to you. So, if you are a MM with a healing aura and/or to-hit debuff aura (e.g. Time), using the GoTo command to make your pets come/stay at your location will keep them fighting more, and greatly improve their survivability. (Just remember to put them back in Follow mode before you move to the next mob. Otherwise you will find yourself soloing the mob while your pets are back at your prior location taking a 'smoke break' 🙂

  13. I have been attempting without luck to create a single keystroke bind that will make my MM pets come to me and stay with me while they keep fighting. What I have been trying to do is use

/bind p "powexeclocation me petcomall goto"

But, it doesnt work. Also tried
/bind p "powexeclocation me "petcomall goto""

/bind lbutton "petcomall goto" works with mouse button, but I have to manually target at my feet.

I want to be able to hit 1 button, and the pets immediately scurry to my location and stay there and fight from that location.

     Any other ideas?
