I mostly agree with Hjarki, with some changes and additions:

    1) Take the single-target Immobilize and slot for damage and procs. Otherwise you have almost nothing for damage early on, and still a pretty gappy attack chain later.

    2) Definitely take Fissure if you're staying with Earth, but personally I like Ice and Mu... Ice for Frost Breath (which works nicely around the same range as Seeds of Confusion), and Mu for a healing pet and a solid AoE with fast animation.

    3) Fly Trap has several -Def attacks, I think I go with 4xExpedient, Achilles and Lady Gray.

    4) I'm not so sure about running the Leadership toggles at all, because /Storm is such an Endurance hog. Other secondaries can get away with it, but Storm uses Freezing Rain to help land hits more than Tactics, though I suppose if you run Ageless (but then you risk getting mezzed) you can get away with it.

Out of curiosity how do you deal with end issues on a stormie other than running ageless?  From my short experience with storm it's a busy set.  I tried running ill/storm, but I hate that the mobs keep running out of my tornadoes with no good way to lock them down while on teams. Plant/storm looks a lot more fun, but I assumed I'd just run ageless and use break frees at 50.  Clarion would be preferable though.

  2. I'd recommend against human only while leveling.  The damage from bright nova is just too good.  As Microcosm mentioned dwarf is where its at for most of your protection while leveling, since you don't need breakfrees.  You can simply shift into dwarf when held, immobd, etc... and also you get a monster heal when in dwarf form.  At 50 even with perma light form, dwarf still gives an extra heal, and an extra aoe.  Personally I'd take some time to read up on keybinds before playing a PB or WS.  They will make your playtime so much easier, and definitely a lot more fun.  That's part  of the reason I avoided the AT when I played on live, and had no idea what I was missing out on.

  3. Right now it's been my PB.  I only played one on live into the 20s I think and abandoned it from there.  My main back on live was an ss/invul brute, and I tried recreating him though I just wasnt feeling it.  Recently after leveling my PB and getting the hang of keybinds i have been loving it.  I play him as human/dwarf (his melee abilities are so satisfying) for level 45+ content and triform for exemping.  Not overly complex, but not an afk AT either, and stupid tanky.

She walks that route to work every day... and every day she sees half a dozen similarly mangled, or fried, or stabbed, or electrocuted, or gnawed-on-by-demons gang members who've tried to snatch a purse and run afoul of some hero. It's an ordinary thing in Paragon City.

After awhile, you just get used to it.

That's like those cars I see casually driving around talos during a rikti or zombie invasion.  After that many invasions I guess you just stop caring.
