This is the commission that I have been waiting at least 15 years to get. Ever since I learned that original Magic the Gathering artist Douglas Shuler (of Serra Angel, Demonic Tutor, and Prodigal Sorcerer fame) played City of Heroes, I've been wanting a commission by him of Draggynn. At the time the game shutdown it was outside of my price range, and post shutdown I basically stopped commissioning art (it was too sad). When I discovered in 2020 that the game had come back and started commissioning art again, Shuler was always at the top of my list.

It took over a year, but here it is! I told him to envision a portrait that City Hall might commission to hang in the rotunda, and he felt the iconic Atlas statue would be a fitting back drop.

This is rare in my collection in that it is a physical oil painting rather than a purely digital artifact.

That was definitely worth the wait! What an amazing art piece, I especially love the colors, if City Hall didn't want to hang that up in the rotunda I would hang it up myself, actual art.

 

I also do agree it would be nice if mods could move AI ""art"" to the other newly created thread so this could be purely art and commissions.

Wanted to post some of my newer ones!

 

Here's USAlien, who has somehow become a favorite of mine. I stole my old hero Citizenship's look because I don't play him anymore and used it for this one instead.
Surprisingly he's an actual serious hero that crashlanded in the 1940's in America, he got memory loss but sees America as his new home, so he took the name of the two things he's proud of.

 

And here's Ardent Star, another Alien, as you can see I like Aliens.... Coming from an underdeveloped world she's having a lot of fun on Earth.

 

And finally Max Speed, former action moviestar that wanted to become faster so he wouldn't lose someone again.

I didn't know about this thread until now, had a blast looking through it! Going to post a few of mine!

The first one is my namesake Citizenship, an older character that's very obviously based on a certain super... man if he was patriotic, he was my main though for a very long time on live so had to remake him here too!

 

 

Next up is Sandskin, a mutant whose skin indefinitely produces sand, he became a hero because his little brother thinks it's cool, and he secretly enjoys helping people too.

 

And finally my new main I think that's I'm loving a lot, his name is Flap, a mutant with wings that shoots arrow, simple but he's been a lot of fun both to RP and play.
