Here is my take on the TA/DP Build. I used some slotting from my Time/DP build. Most of the attacks do more damage with straight procs. The build is also soft capped to S/L and Range. There is no Hasten on this build, but if you wanted it, you could drop Combat Jumping for it. With the FF procs in 4 powers though, it is not really needed. I have greatly enjoyed this build with the changes to TA. It does feel a bit old school though, debuff then destroy.

Out of the three you list, I would select SM/SD, however, you are correct in stating how redundant it would feel if you have levelled another SD AoE toon. If you can deal with that, you will be rewarded with a toon that is fully AoE capable with a devastating ST chain. There is an excellent guide for the build on the forums.
I have problems with Psychic Melee, as it always seems wooden to me. The mechanic of the set is also not the easiest to use. Done well it can be successful, but if you trust on animations to provide some enjoyment, you will end up being disappointed.
