Fire Blast for sure! So you think dark miasma for primary?

I'm thinking of going dark/fire or fire/dark... Or maybe fire/psionic or psionic/fire. I'm newly returning so I've forgotten most of the wisdom here. Any suggestions?

So i decided on brute, i went titan weapon for my primary and secondary went with rad armor. Any other things i should note for future progression?

I'm not sure if there us a better place for this query, if so delete this and i can repost. I'm returning to the game since its original incarnation ended and I've forgotten lots of things. I'm trying to build out a character called Wasteland I'm thinking tough very strong and poisonous/radioactive. I really like the titan weapon concrete mallet from an aesthetic point of view. The character is supposed to be a literal animated wasteland, full of scrapheaps, sludge, and toxic radiation... Anyone have suggestions on power sets and an archetype? I'm thinking melee maybe with some ability give off radiation/poison.
